Inaccurate data (Autodata) used to service car

So - according to the manual anything between 2.4 and 3.0 is ok
Not sure I'd be getting too concerned over 0.2 between those figures

My Peugeot has been main dealer serviced for 9 years, I would not trust them as far as I could throw them.
They always want to add stuff, fuel cleaner at £30 a go, air con clean etc. The best one was I needed a new air filter, was old dirty and blocked. Funny that I replaced it 8 miles before I got to the dealer. Plus they did not change the pollen filters on service two. I mark everything they are ment to change. As above I purchased a brake fluid tester £6 ish.
Re tyres, put your reg in.

It seems I am worrying to much. I set them to (2.4) 35, the garage often sets them to (2.2) 32 and they could do as high as (3.0) 43.5.
I like them accurate and consistent then it's easier to spot a problem early. I've no idea when the TPMS would pop-up.
Also, the manual mentions a +0.3 allowance for warm tyres but does not specify the ambient temperature that is considered warm.
My daughters car tells her the pressure to inflate the tyres to based on the current temperature.

You use the local garage to check your pressures who may have a machine that is 10 years old and never been
calibrated since it left the factory?
Even if you use the garage's pump you should have a gauge that you can keep yourself and trust not to be
misused. I once saw an old guy put a garage tyre pump onto the rear suspension of his Austin Metro which
had the hydrogas system, I saw the car drop as the pressure in the system exceeded the pumps ratings
and decided I did not want to fill my tyres with his hydrogas fluid so went elsewhere.
The garage pumps have been tested over the years and they can be as far out as 12PSI… AutoExpress, Which etc..Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I agree, that once I'm no longer trying to get everything I can included under the service plan I will be determining what gets changed and when.
The tyre pressure links are interesting. National shows my tyre size but does not indicate a pressure. For other sizes they show the size that matches the Petrol, Mild Hybrid and diesel versions in the manual not a PHEV.
Kwik Fit is the same as is Tyre Pressure.
They are all using the same underlying data source which is not showing a pressure for tyres I have on my car.
Thank you for your help.

Yes, I do not disagree, though I do try and use the same garage for consistency. I do have a a tyre pressure gauge though I must admit to not using it. I will compare it to the garage next time I go.

Warm as in.. just driven. It makes a difference. Even leaving one side exposed to the sun and one not can give a couple of psi difference between the sides until the temperature balances out.

Typically, I head out to the garage very first or last thing.
It is clearly not a precise science. I've just read this in the manual.
The inflation pressure varies, depending on the temperature, of about 0.07 bar every 6.5°C. This means that a decrease of the external temperature corresponds to a decrease of the tyre pressure. Always
adjust the tyre inflation pressure when cold. This is defined as the tyre pressure after at least 3 hours of car inactivity or travel of less than 1.6 km after the 3 hour interval.I believe this is the math my daughters car does to show the actual pressure to set the gauge to at any given time.
What I have not found yet is the temperature they are using as cold.

Ai reckons it's based on 20c ambient, which seems about right. It's a standardised thing

What tyre size do you have? Fitted since new?
Are you also saying you don't have the door sticker, or that the door sticker doesn't have your tyre size?0
