Opening a bank account with minimal ID
Hello there!
I only have a driving licence as ID (no letter for my address so please dont ask!)
I need a bank account that I can pay money into it then set a standing order to pay money out on time ever month
Any ideas please?
Or not possible?
Thanks

trying to imagine how anyone might not have a letter without their name and address on it. no need to explain but would suggest that needs to be sorted sooner rather than later. then again if you can get a bank account that might do the trick.

…presumably if it matches the address on the driving licence?

You can ask HMRC for a letter confirming your tax code. This acceptable for address confirmation for most banks.

So am I right in think that what you are saying is that if I have the above letter, along with my driving licence then a bank will let me open a bank account right?
If so then how do i get that letter please?
