New ISA rules 2027

Totally agree. The one idea that really gets me p***** off is the one where you are not allowed to transfer a S&S ISA to a Cash ISA. If circumstances mean you need to get cash at some point but don't know when, you are out of the market right away. So you sell down but as it is now cash you get taxed because it is in an S&S ISA.
The 65 or over get a choice what to do with the total allowance. Now I would say that is age discrimination. Given what she says on that I could say the person in number 11 should be a male. I wouldn't get away with that, she shouldn't get away with the age thing either.

Age discrimination has been with us forever and a day. Under 18s can't do a whole lot of financial and other matters that older people can do. Under 18s can get discounts e.g. for season tickets that no adult of working age can get. Children get reduced price entry to attractions. Minimum wage has age dependencies. Length of service or membership provides some working age people with benefits that younger people are unable to have as they simply haven't lived enough years yet to meet those pre-reqs. A basic income called state pension has been paid for decades to people over a certain age.
If you have very deep pockets and a lot of time on your hands, you could challenge the Govt on the proposed changes to the cash ISA amounts.

There are highly liquid funds that you can buy within a S&S ISA so that shouldn't be a concern. But you also have an emergency cash buffer already right (whether cash ISA or other)?
