June 1
152nd day of the year
1st day of meteorological summer
the day of the invention of the jet engine
the establishment of the magnetic north pole
the first written record of Scotch whisky (1495)
And a very special day for Rowan9 and her doggy.
Today I am grateful for my new curtains looking fab, for a lovely morning at work, for yummy cheese on toast, for a new month and especially one that starts on a Monday.

Not the best day. Fell crossing the road. People came to help & stopped the oncoming traffic. Sore & scunnered.

Sending lots of hugs to @Rowan9. It is hard when a family member (and pets are) cross the rainbow bridge.

@beanielou sorry about the fall. Glad people helped, as they should do. Take good care as you’ll be shaken as well as sore.
Thanks all for your messages.
Today I am grateful forSufficient sleep last night
A trip to the library and time to select good reads which will help occupy my mind. Reading is such a pleasure when it transports to another world. A glimpse into other lives even if fictional.
Salad lunch which was healthy. Made it deliberately as a kind of self care and for DH even though tea and toast would have doneWe have a fridge and freezer full of food as friends were meant to be staying but we cancelled. No shopping needed for couple weeks apart from milk and bread top ups, fruit and salady bits too. We had delicious lemon and something salmon for tea last night. It was Sains. Also had organic baby potatoes which we had bought as a treat for having with friends. Ah so delicious. Have the same for tonight so that’s easy.
I think we are due thunderstorms this afternoon. It’s very muggy. For anyone interested in meditations, I like the ones on y tube by the friend of Peter Pan and her last name is a common Welsh surname. I don’t think I can post links here but you can find her. I have meditated for many years and do different forms at different times and she .
Ok I’m off for more tea and probably a snooze.
take care all x5 -
Oh beanie, you poor mite. Rest up and rub in lol ts of arnica to the hurty bits.
We have had so much rain today, plus thunder and lightning. Very exciting, all the more so as I was inside!
Today I am grateful for not getting caught in the many heavy downpours, for working with some fabulous people, for being given a lift home from work, for dh buying a curry for tea, for still being able to wear shorts this afternoon.
