Rosie hadn't had a proper walk for almost a week because of her poorly foot, but she had stopped limping and wasn't licking her feet, and it was slightly cloudy yesterday, so we decided to take her up to the Forest. We sat outside (but in the shade) for lunch, which included her usual sausage; then DH hired a Tramper and we took a gentle walk around the short route, with us enjoying the birdsong and Rosie enjoying the smells of the woodland. An ice cream when we reached the finish line - bliss! And the bonus, of course, was hat the house didn't get turned upside down 😉
This morning Rosie has gone off for her usual walk with L. I have checked finances - down to a few pounds remaining at the end of the month, but still just in the black and all bills paid, so that's OK, and I've got enough for a top-up of salad veg and ice cream if we need it. I've also S&S'd the kitchen, FUPA clean washing, tidied the LR, hoovered through upstairs, and made my bed. Now I'm waiting for L to bring Rosie home so that I can remind L to take her chocolate cake to keep her going while she's on annual leave at home next week - she should have been going to Valencia, but a new-to-her car had to be the priority so that she could carry on with her dog-walking business. Then I've got plans for a day of family history and photo sorting, but I must also remember to ring the vets and make Rosie's follow-up appointment for next week.
Hope everyone has a cooler and more comfortable day today xxx

Good evening, I have been struggling for time to post most of this week, as I have been busy at my clinical placement. I think I will need to get into the habit of posting the night before, as I just come in and start getting everything done, or on some occasions, getting nothing done. Not all weeks might be as busy as this week, as I have tried to keep myself busy, as it would have been my 14th wedding anniversary on Monday 25th, so I have been trying not to think about it.
My list for this evening
Empty the DW and put the dishes awayLaundry x 4 loadsEmpty the living room bin- Sort out Mr T order for delivery tomorrow Changed the delivery till Sunday so this will be on my list for tomorrow
Take DD up to the stables so she can feed and check on her poniesAsk the kids to bring their laundry downstairs and sort it out into pilesFeed the animals and walk the dogSpend an hour updating and sorting out the diary
I think that is everything that I need to tackle tonight. I hope everyone is having a lovely Friday.

Hello.
Today I walked Poppet, did paid stuff, checked banking, did dailies and from the list I cleaned windows, sills and flat surfaces in our bedroom.
Going down south tomorrow.

@MinnieMousesMummy - well done for keeping busy this week. I think it's a sensible strategy.
@wendywitch - I hope your mum fixed your knitting. I really miss my mum's help with my knitting hiccups and she also used to sew up garments for me. I've learned to do it myself but it's my least favourite part of knitting.
Some bits and bobs of flying today - bedlinen changed, old bed linen washed, dried and put away. Hoovered throughout and cleaned the kitchen floor. Dishwasher emptied and re-loaded. Shopping done and put away after the fridge had been cleaned and organised.
Spent the afternoon with a grandchild which was very nice. We ate pizza and ice cream in the garden (not at the same time) and had a lovely chat.

Thanks all. I try and go out every day for an hour or two but it's usually just to the shops. I don't have anyone much to go out with now anyway as most of the friends I used to go out with have left London or we've lost contact. I went out for a coffee yesterday with a friend who has largely moved back to Spain (where he is originally from) as he was over for a couple of weeks. He could only spare an hour as he has to pack a lot in whilst he is here as he still has a home here and lots of connections and so had lots of people to see and lots of things to sort out.
It's been very warm again so I haven't felt like doing much that I didn't have to but I did do two lots of washing and have nearly finished the drying.

Got bedding out on the line and have been to feed SD's cat - which is thrilled to see me until the food goes down then largely ignores me 😂
Been 'carefully' saving water by washing fruit/veg in a bowl then taking the water out to tip on pots. Hoping the forecast rain will top up the butt.
No planning on doing much today, though there are a couple of garden jobs I could do.

Good morning all 👋
I had a Sassyday yesterday. Seems only fair when I've left her alone for four days while I'm at the paid stuff - I tell her it's to get the pennies to buy seed. So, while Sassy had free rein / reign in LR I had a readabook day. Which was lovely, but could I sleep last night? Nope. Not tired.
Stayed in bed til 7 but I'm now up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, completed Connections with no lives lost, and I'm supping my first brew.
Another brew is required before I go up for a shower. I didn't get dressed til after lunch yesterday- I felt decidedly decadent. Clothes will be donned earlier today. Then I'll crack on with the Saturdailies/ Sundailies.
Hope everyone is well. Big hugs all round.
Rxx

Afternoon all,
I haven’t posted for a couple of days as there has been no flying and nothing of interest happening here. The mornings have been passed at the allotment trying to get rid of some weeds and work out what I have a hope of sowing now and still harvesting later. All plant babies are in and being left to their own devices. On the flying front I nearly cleared the ironing mountain - just 2 shirts lingering, although there is another load drying on the line, mostly gardening clothes so no ironing required, hurrah. In a fit of something yesterday afternoon (definitely not enthusiasm, maybe guilty conscience?) I dusted upstairs and vacuumed upstairs and the stairs. It was a half hearted effort, but I did have to empty the dy$0n half way round 😳. Not that the job was overdue or anything…
Not sure what faffing will take place this afternoon. Temperatures have definitely dropped, so my guag may feel compelled to put in an appearance. Or perhaps not. I will see you all on the other side x
