Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, showered, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, supped a brew, fed the birds, put out the recycling, filled Sassy's seed and water, and I'm supping a brew.
Paid stuff for me today. Feeding DB's cats before and after work. Hopefully my prescription will be ready to pick up this evening.
Sassy has been out of her cage every morning over the weekend and she is not happy that I won't open the cage door for her this morning. 😞
Better go. Stay cool. Says I as I 🥵.

Morning. Haven't had time to read all the thread. Staying round at DD2's all week pet sitting but coming home in between to do my washing and the meals for me and DH. From Thursday to Sunday I have to look after DD1's dog too but he will stay at home with DH and I will just have to come round to walk and feed him. No peace for the wicked.
Hope everyone's OK x

Morning all,
Back after a lovely weekend away at a wedding. We managed to slip in a NT visit in on the way there, as luckily Friday was slightly cooler than this week. I have turned into my mother - at the first sign of heat, I flop. Yesterday was a write off apart from a load of washing. This morning I have changed the bed, set the wm and the dw running, and watered the gh and veg trug as they are in the shade until the afternoon. DH has, quite unnecessarily in my (unpopular) opinion, decided that this morning is meant for strimming the allotment 🤷♀️. I need to straighten my hair, which is not a cool job. It may be limited to my fringe just so that the neighbours don’t get too shocked by the sight. There is also an ironing pile, but I am successfully ignoring that. I have all the overwintered geraniums sat where they are to be planted. If anyone can find my guag and send it back, then I’ll get that job done.
Stay cool and hydrated all x

I woke just before 7 this morning so drank my first cuppa in the garden, while Rosie kept an eye out for the wood pigeons and actually chased one of them. She seems to be a lot better.
Then I swept the decking, put up the canes in the big trugs for the runner beans, and planted out the beans that I soaked yesterday into ordinary flowerpots, so that I can see how many come up and space them out in the trugs accordingly. I gave the two snails who had attached themselves to the outside of the pots a flying lesson out into the lane - hoping they won't find their way back!
I started sewing up the yellow jacket yesterday evening but will leave finishing it until later.
I now have probably an hour in which to try to finish writing up T's family history, the bulk of which I had handed over to him in February - most embarrassing 🤕 - but I have the excuse that first I was ill and then DH was in and out of horse piddle, and other jobs had to take priority. Best get on with it.
Will catch up with you all later xxx

Morning all.
Poppet has been walked, dailies are done, duvets have been washed and are on line along with third and final dog bed. It's been a bitty morning with a bit of admin, a bit of dusting and a bit of sewing.
DGS is ok and home.Spend less now, work less later.6 -

I have also been getting up and walking each morning before the heat (which I love) set in. Have so far in may completed over 400,000 steps in for our work challenge. I am so close to the half a million, I now have to push myself at the weekend to make it.
We have been dog sitting since Friday for DS as they were away and he was supposed to go back yesterday afternoon but we didn't see anyone. Then this morning I received a frantic message asking if we could keep him for a few more days as DGD came back yesterday with a fever and was listless and DGS had been up all night screaming his belly and bottom hurt and discovered he has the wigglyies. Luckily as a teacher DiL is at home this week has set too scrubbing the house and ensuring they are all treated.
DD went to check in on dad for me, he is doing well now and driving again so not frustrated by being relatively housebound. Oh and I had a visit from my little brother who lives across the other side of the county.
I am at work all week, although am from home tomorrow so I should be able to get a 4 - 5 mile walk in before I start. Then the boiler is coming to fix the boiler. It was serviced 2 weeks ago and he said it should really be condemned but he'd got some spare parts and would get what else we needed to try and keep it going for a bit longer. That was one thing we always had before the new bathroom was a hot shower with it being electric but as this one is straight off the system if the boiler goes its no hot water 😯
Looks like we now have a yellow warning for thunderstorm which will be great when you are in the attic bedroom and hear every drop of rain. Thats the rain just started so I better rush and close some windows.
Sending get well vibes to all and your family members (was it Jazee)
Gotta go

well we had thunder but no rain. It has cooled down outside but, despite having windows open all evening - and more than I usually open eg LR it hasn't really cooled indoors. So I am still at the mercy of the fan.

Morning,
Been feeling grumpy for awhile now so cba to do much. DD2 is annoying me. For someone who hasn't to be out of her flat in about 2 weeks she's not doing much. Her friend and her boyfriend went round to help with some more packing (she far too much stuff, especially clothing) which was good of them and I know her friend will "bully" her into doing it. DD2 still hasn't sorted out a storage facility. I've been reminding her every week but she still hasn't done it! Hence why I'm grumpy.
This week so far, I've dusted round the bedroom, wiped the bed down (metal frame), dejunking the dressing table and bedside shelves as I went. I also cleaned the window and seal and also cleaned the blind! Wiping every slat! Another hated job which has made me finally decide they have to go. DD2 says I should wait til I've had her cat and he's left again because he shredded her nets. Between all of us I think I'm going to get left with him so why worry about some cheap curtains.
I digress, the little windows are now permanently open all over the house due to the hot weather.
I've used the DW several times and strimmed the rest of the front garden. The green bin is full, due to be emptied tomorrow then I can start again.
Yesterday I walk up to meet my friend for brunch going to the post office on the way. He's off work this week. Helping his Dad in their shop while his Mum is away. After we parted I nipped into Mr Al's via the large CS (only go 3 dvds I don't really need). I'm trying out some new recipes as I'm bored with the same stuff all the time but of course this has lead to extra spending so I hope I like the stuff. I admit I did get a taxi home due to the heat and weight of the shopping bag.
Once I got home and put the shopping away I ordered my meds via the app, hoovered round the front room including the sofas. I also sorted over the sofa covers, throws and cushions.
Today I have group and then after I'm going to DD1's mother in law ish for coffee as I can't go Thursday cos I have my GS. Depending what mood I'm in once I get back depends if I do anything else.

Yesterday I planted up all the pots on the decking, watered them in well, and then they enjoyed a heavy shower at around midnight. All the plants are looking very perky thismorning 😁
K is coming to clean for me this morning and bringing my goddaughter W. I don't think I've seen W since Christmas - she and her grumpy sister have started going to a church which has a big youth group and (according to K) are very happy there, which pleases me too.
I need to get moving - see you later xxx

Afternoon all,
I have kicked myself up the derrière and actually done some jobs this morning. Amazing what a temperature of “only” 29 degrees can do. Yesterday, like Iona, I also potted up plants, following the shade around until it was no more. Today I have:
collected my new glasses, just need to start wearing them now 😳
Took a basket round Mr S while I was there to get some items that Mr M never seems to have in stock, plus a couple of cards for the coming month 😇
S&s ensuite and given the downstairs cloakroom a full clean, as DH is out so nobody will be fighting to get in there within seconds of me cleaning it
Vacuumed through the kitchen, utility, hall and cloakroom in a That’ll Do kind of way
Emptied the toaster of crumbs (I have overnight oats for breakfast), cleaned the coffee maker (I drink tea…do you see a pattern emerging?)Next job is to do some admin, and to help DD with some of her’s. Mr M due to deliver later this afternoon, wm is running. The ironing pile is definitely toppling. Dinner /tea for this evening is already made, just need to sort some salad.
