I have raised a complaint asking for my funding window to be extended. If I get much more aggro I won't fund it and go elsewhere. Several deals around with 4.8%+ for a 1yr fix. Not worth the aggro for 0.2% or less on 10k

Ordinarily I would be 100% on the case for a tax free compo payment but currently navigating through AML hell trying to prove source of funds for the (relatively modest) amount of cash (below FSCS limit) I'll be putting in to a house purchase. There should be different rules for 'rate tarts', especially ones that have been at it for 30+ years. The paper trail is getting ridiculous and of course some institutions don't even put your name and address on statements. Others don't even have statements available for the period in question and others transaction lists without identifying which institution they are. Hurrah for keeping £1 in old accounts so you can still log in!
Then Friday I am off to Spain for two weeks 😎 I will not be dealing with anything while there unless it is beyond urgent.

hello, was this deal originally 13 months? I was about to apply then realised it may have changed to 15 months though not sure?

No, it’s always been 15 months.

This year's offering (launched 21/05/26) has always been 15 months.
Last year's offering (May 2025 launch) was for 18 months.

Had applied for this 2 weeks ago - and received a letter saying i'd registered for online banking, here's my customer number and passcode. Triggered my phone number - one time password.
Plugged them all in - no success.
Realised you have to separately register on the website as well - even though the letter said you were registered.
Then you create your 3 ID questions and a new passcode…THEN it lets you in.
Not sure everyone would guess that "second" registration step. Or maybe it's just me!

I set up the three id questions but didn't get anything about setting up a new passcode that I recall.
When I haven't deposited by Sunday the account will be closed automatically and I doubt I will darken Nationwide's doorstep again unless they transfer across VirginMoney accounts.

My complaint was closed and refused due to there being no evidence of anyone having any issues even though I told them about this discussion. To be fair they did call promptly and give me the account details so I could fund the account. A letter with these details arrived a few days after the customer number / passnumber letter!
I followed the instructions on the customer number/passnumber letter to the letter and it failed every time on the website or app. The letter said I was already registered for online banking.
I said I would be back in touch if I knew other people had complained.

As mentioned earlier, normally I wouldn't miss the opportunity to complain and seek compensation but have masses to do by cop today then take car for annual service tomorrow before disappearing off on holiday for two weeks.
People might not have complained as the marginal benefit of this capped account is relatively minimal so hardly worth spending time on, just move on. Wouldn't surprise me if they have a disproportionately high percentage of accounts not receiving deposits in time compared to normal. And many of those would be new customers if our experience is anything to go by.

You followed the instructions, but you need to manually then click on register for online banking on the website. (Despite the letter saying you had already registered for online banking)
That will then give you the ability to enter 3 security questions and create your own new passcode.
THEN you will be able to sign in!
And none of these steps above are in their instructions incredibly.
