Boots Advantage Points Expired... A bit of a rant

I don't know how Boots define 'haven't been used' but to me it means paid for something using your points.

So good news I've had an email back from Boots this afternoon :

Hello Ms Chocaholic

Your Advantage Card points will expire if you haven’t used your account for 12 months. This means no points have been earned or redeemed during that time.  

To keep your points active, just use your Advantage Card at least once every 12 months. Even small purchases count, so using your card regularly helps protect your points.

If your points have been removed due to inactivity, we can reinstate them, as long as it’s been less than 6 months since they expired.

​If it’s been more than 6 months since your points expired, we’re really sorry. We’re not able to reinstate them, but we’re here to help with anything else you need.

You can check your Advantage Card activity by logging into your account and selecting 'Manage my Advantage Card'.

If there's anything else you need, just reply to this email and we'll be happy to help.

No, I didn’t miss it. I didn’t get any notification. This is of course quite a number of years ago so wouldn’t be surprised if things are different now.
