On the 'plant' note, are there some that actively repel cats due to their odour or summat?

The super-soaker style water pistols have a lot longer range than a spray bottle.

Doesnt lion poo do the job ? It's a bigger cat and they are territorial. Yea....sprinkle a small amount of lion poo around your front garden.....should do the job !

Although apparently this is illegal, so don't try it yourself.

The guy I bought my daughter's wee car from had a very neat house, all done up by them - inside and out - in shades of black and grey. It was very grey, but modern and trendy, I guess.

And then their cat came through into the room - very grey. After a wee chat, it transpired the cat never went outside, in case it was stolen - it cost £2k.

To keep the people from stroking cat. Sign "Warning this cat has flea's" should help.

Failing that just pop out & ask them to stop walking on your garden to stroke the cat.

There is a plastic grid you put under the soil or turf. It has little bits sticking up which makes it uncomfortable for cats to walk on but does no harm. It's just not stable under their feet.
