Brain dumped. Finally! On the back of last week's Saturdailies list. 😊
Saw that the Council were picking up the now defunct recycling bin - so I nipped out with mine and they took it too. Fer-ling
And breathe...

Afternoon all,
Living at the opposite end of the country to Round, I woke up to grey skies, that didn’t disppoint by dumping their showery contents mid morning. DH and I made a rare trip out first thing to small town, mainly to give my car a run but also to go to a local plant sale. That was overwhelming but we ended up walking through the market where our favourite farm has a stand, and DH could not resist. Freezer tetris will have to happen later. The farm stall might very well have been next to an irresistble bakery stall…
Yesterday I finally caught up with the washing mountain. Ironing will have to happen later but as it is so miserable outside, that will be a good job to do. I also made a trip to the allotment as the forecast was fine for a couple of hours. As it was lying, I got completely drenched rushing home. I did shift myself enough to dust and vacuum the dining room though. All other flying is on hold (apart from a totally spontaneous decision to sort out my sock drawer this morning, of all things), waiting for DD to go away tomorrow for a few days. Thank you to Valli for the inspiration to think up an excuse.

Afternoon all. Spent a happy couple of hours this morning (sarcasm alert) setting up update on Virgin tv box. Didn't work as it was supposed to but seems to be working so we'll go with the flow. Didn't want to upgrade anyway but it was forced on us - they started with bribery and then moved on to threats. I imagine we'll get used to it. If we get any problems 9 year old granddaughter is coming here on Monday so she can sort it out!
One load of washing done, mostly dried outside and then finished on the airer when it got to be warmer inside than out. Apart from usual dailies not much else done because of the stuff in the first paragraph.
Hope everyone's OK x

minniemousesmum - separation is very hard and it's very early days for you to acclimatise. Well done for keeping things going for you and your children.
We were away for a week and returned yesterday. The washing machine has been busy but the weather is being very unreliable for getting clothes dry. Some are now on the heated airer to finish them off.
The hall and stairs are hoovered and dusted including skirtings and the landing window and glass in the front door are a bit more sparkly than they were.
Bathroom cabinet cleaned and organised and a quick bathroom s&s has made a positive improvement.
A quick PUPA in the room of doom.
Finally, I did some garden tidying and potted up some summer plants.

Morning all xx
This house has gone downhill this year- I guess I've been in 'survival' mode with the roller coaster ride that life in 2026 has been so far.
So. I'm going to get dressed and then set the timer. Even that means making a decision. How long do I set the timer for? Start with 5 minutes and go from there. Right. Okay. And breathe

Afternoon all. Good start Round :) Dry here so far after a wet night but threatening to rain later. I did a small washload which I pegged out, then got in when it said rain. It didn't so I've left it on the airer now.
Just done a Sunday roast and that's cleared away. We have DD2's dog for today and overnight so I've had one good walk and I'll take him out again a bit later. After checking the weather forecast which consistently lies to me.
Hope everyone's OK x

Thank you PollyBear 😘
Weather forecast is telling lies here too. It forecast rain so I've draped towels and tea towels on the airer indoors. The sun is shining! Heyho.
Pots have been WUDUPA and dishcloth is soaking in bleach.
I've found the '6' stickers that I knew I had - in the first place I looked. 😇. I need to stick one on my new bin before it's emptied on Thursday.
In fact, I think I'll stick it on now. And empty the now redundant recycling boxes into said bin. That'll be two items ticked off my brain dump list. The tatty blue box can go in the general waste bin as it's broken. Not sure what to do with the green box 🤔 Think I'll keep it for now.

Sticker stuck on bin ✔
Redundant boxes emptied ✔
Blue box binned ✔
Cleaned out Sassy ✔
Put fresh millet in cage ✔
Sassy is free flying in the living room. The cage door is often open but she usually ignores it. I'd closed the cage door while I was outside, and when I came back in she told me she wanted the door open 🤷♀️ OK. And she was straight out.
I guess I'll read a book until she's ready to go back in.
