(((Hugs))) to you and all your family, Natty xx
Round, I'm really pleased that Sassy has spread her wings and flown free. We had a budgerigar called Beaky when I was young, and he used to land on my head and then slide off. My mother left the radio on for him all day when she was out at work, to keep him company.
Today I have hoovered through downstairs, done WMx2 , WULTD the big pan from cooking a batch of savoury mince, and started putting away the family history papers that I took to the Old Wives' group last night but got distracted by some new information that needed to be recorded on my family tree program. I have also decluttered 2 out of the 3 hot X buns that were still hiding in the freezer - I don't think the last one will be left on its own for much longer, even though it won't do my waistline much good: far too naughty but very nice.
DH is on a roll: he went to SW this morning and discovered he had lost 20lb in the 3 weeks that he was in and out of hospital!

Good morning all xx
I leave the radio on for Sassy while I'm at work. Yesterday she used my 'chest' as a stepping stone to getting back into the cage. Even had a little pootle about on there and nibbled my cheek. 🥰
Golly iona that's a lot of weight to lose in three weeks.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, only managed two lines on Connections, and supped my first brew.
I'm meeting L for coffee this afternoon at the posh farm shop cafe. I'll drop off DB's key on my way home from there. The rest of the day is mine.
Time for another brew and breakfast. I'll set the towels and tea towels swishing, then I'll write that 'brain dump' list. Really must free some synapses.
Have a good day.

Washing done and dried indoors - cold wind and showers here. Shopping delivered and all sorted out and put away. Took DGD4 to school this morning and picking her up this afternoon and bringing her back here for tea. If the rain holds off we might go to the park but it's not looking hopeful. Hope everyone's OK x

Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, showered, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, completed Connections with two lives lost, and I'm supping my first brew.
Brain has not yet been dumped onto paper. As I explained to L yesterday its difficult to begin when you can't find a thread to pull to begin the unravelling 🤯
I'm up and on as Pops may, or may not 🤦♀️, need a lift from the garage at 8.30. I'm meeting friends for coffee at Costa at 9.45. J is picking me up from home at 12 to take me to my hospital appointment (preassessment) at 1pm. Then I have no plans until I'm being a taxi for P & S on Monday late afternoon. 🙃 which I found out by accident when I phoned S yesterday. She couldn't remember if she'd asked me or not. She hadn't. 😱
DB is taking Pops for his hospital appointment today. I've suggested that DB check the appointment text before they set off - as I'm sure the appointment is tomorrow 😉. I guess it could have been changed 🤷♀️.
Seems everyone's head is a shed, not just mine.
I will feed the birds and bring in the bins when they've been emptied. Not promising anything else until I'm home later. And breathe ....
Have a good day.

Morning all, can I sneak back in at the back please?
I have skim read the last 3 weeks but not a lot has stuck. Hugs to all who need them, but especially to Round, Iona and Narc0.
DH and I went to meet up with DD across the other side of the world. Exhausting but certainly a trip of a lifetime. It was lovely to see her after 3 months. Now we are back to reality with a bump. The wm has been on overdrive, the ironing pile threatens to engulf me so I clear it, and it promptly builds up again, all of us are still operating in Pacific time. That is slowly getting better, but I now have a drippy cold to slow me down to zero mph. Flying will be minimal this week, apart from laundry and meal prep / tidy away. Luckily I had a flying frenzy before we left, so the house could be worse. The garden didn’t take kindly to being left, with frazzled seedlings and dead plants in pots, even a houseplant has keeled over. I haven’t yet had the energy to walk up to see the effect of neglect at the allotment.
Mr M is delivering at lunchtime. It isn’t a very joined up delivery, so meals for the coming week will be ….inventive.

Lovely to have you back with us, Fayolle - and what an exciting trip for you all! It's good to know that your DD is enjoying herself xxx And thank you for reminding me to get something out of the freezer to defrost for our tea 😘
I had a lovely evening yesterday with my DD. We went to Chinatown, and good luck was on our side as we found an excellent restaurant which served us a most delicious course of dim sun, packed with mainly seafood, as well as other more familiar dishes at a very reasonable price. I would definitely go there again!
Back to reality here too. I said to DH this morning that I was not going to wash his bedlinen today, so what he did he do? Stripped his bed, of course! - and dumped everything on the utility floor, so I had to wash it after all. I called him to come and help me put on the fresh linen, got no answer, so did it myself (with difficulty). Then I walked into the LR and found him asleep in his chair. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!
I have a load of craft things to prepare for the family service on Sunday, but I had a very bad night so I fully expect to fall asleep if I sit down with the cuppa that I'm about to make, but I really need the extra zzz and will probably, sooner or later, have to give in to the inevitable.

amazed that Mr Ionafan is not sporting a black eye or similar
I have pegged out some washing in the hope that I can get it dry between showers, emptied DW, WUALTD. Ironed what was hanging around waiting to be ironed.
DD is in the process of moving out (faints) this has been on the cards for months… she has removed almost all of her jackets from the-cupboard-under-the-stairs so that space is looking much less crammed; there are empty drawers and I am itching to get in and move furniture, clean behind it and clean in it. But I must be patient.
Payment for my crashed car has come through.

Afternoon all. Raining at the moment and I can hear distant thunder. DD1 who lives about 10 miles away just sent a video of a hailstorm complete with thunder and lightning. Must be Spring.
One washload done, most of it is dry (indoors) just a pair of trousers finishing off round the waistband. Been out for a walk/coffee with both DDs and a couple of bits of shopping. I should be dusting and vacuuming. But I'm not. DS has a hospital appointment this afternoon which we're desperately hoping will be effective in making things better instead of the worse he has had the last few times.
Hope everyone having a hard time gets some relief soon x

Afternoon all, I haven't posted the last couple of days as I have been focusing on my placement, it's going well so far, and it's helping to take my mind off being on my own with the kids (DH and I separated almost 4 weeks ago, it still feels raw).
So far today, I put a load of laundry on before heading out to placement, but I'm now back home and need to get some stuff done.
My list for this evening
Unload the DW and put dishes awayLoad the DWEmpty the TD (I put a load in last night)Put the laundry into the TDMake lunches for tomorrowFeed the animals and walk the dogTake DD up to the stables so she can see and feed her poniesTake DD to her guides groupMake a start on Mr T order
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone is having a lovely Thursday.
