Parking charges (PCN) UKPC Swindon
Hello forum people, making a thread on my PCN's as im just about to put up a defence as ukpc has issued a money claim on 2 pcns at received near the same time at my local JDGYMS. For some context Im working out at my gym and I do full body so I take some time to finish my workouts, and little did i know that there was a parking limit. I never knew this of my entire year of going and now i was working out with my 2 brothers so rest time was longer. Never saw any sign on my way in and neither did my brothers. I recieve 3 pcns all within around 2 weeks but opened them at the same time ( the third). Appealed all of them and i received a letter from ukpc saying theyd drop the charge out of good faith so I thought it was over and done with. PS the car was in my mums name so the letters were also sent to her. Couple months ago i got a LOC and realised it wasnt over and the letter about the charges being dropped was only regarding one fof the charges. The 2 charges are me going around 15 mins over the limit and i find it to be unfair since im actually using the gym the entire time. Ive alr done aos and have to submit a defence soon and was wanting to ask how i should go about defending specifically for the individual paragraph in the template. Also one of the charges i managed to get my name as a defendant but the other charge my mum is the defendant. She is asian and old so she doesnt know how to do this so im gonna lead her through it and also since she wasnt the ohne driving should her defence be different. Any questions will be answered and ill update the thread when needed throughout the process. Any help will be appreciated!

Show us the claim form (redact personal information) but leave the date of issue showing. We need to see the POC to see what you are actually defending against. Presume you tried Plan A complaint to the gym?

is the claim addressed to your Mum?

One of the claims is addressed to my mum and the other to me, also quick update i received this letter from dcblegal recently aswell

And which one is that about?
Reads as if that claim is already defended (presumably only AOS done x 2?) but they are both dated 9th April, so get the defences in sharpish!
"One of the claims is addressed to my mum and the other to me".
Your mum's defence para 2 just says that she wasn't the driver.
Your defence is the same but says you were.
Both use the Template Defence.

With an issue date of 09/04/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 14/04/26 and before or on 28/04/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 12/05/26. Note your deadline(s) are next Tuesday. Has the AoS been done?

This was sent regarding my mums pcn, is there a specific way i should word my para 2( i assume its the para where i tell my individual details)

Mum doesn't add your details to her defence
If she wasn't driving, add the following to the end of the template paragraph 2 in her defence
but not the driver
to admit that they were the registered keeper but not the driver
Whereas your paragraph 2 ends with the following instead of registered keeper
driver
to admit that they were the driver

I already said what to put and para 2 is written for you. Your only task is para 3.
