Roofing Issue?
Hi,
I've noticed some of the ridge tiles look misaligned on my roof, should I get this looked at?

Personally, I'd say a definate yes. Get it checked for both safety and because it will be letting in an extra % of water everytime it rains and the longer that goes on, the more the potential damage to felt and ridge beam / rafters / joists etc will esculate. Better to pay £200 to get it checked over with what appears to be small(ish) external repairs and tile realignment shown on your pictures, than a £2,000+ bill a few months down the road for greater damage, especially heading towards Autumn & Winter.

To me it looks like untidy work rather than necessarily a source of leaks, but if it were my roof I’d get a local roofer in to take a look.
That verge looks particularly scruffy so maybe not a good indicator of the quality of the overall job.

It's actually a new roof that hasn't been finished well. I have some money still owed for the job and I'll hold this until this is corrected. I really think those ridge tiles need replacing. Also the corners of the roof are in need of addressing.

@newbieni - That's one shoddy job for a new roof! Personally, at this point, I'd definately get an independant reputable roofer to be taking a good hard look and inspection at the work that's already been done before parting with anymore money.

There were issues with the original roofer and he was sacked. The new roofer did a report and made corrections but as you can see, the finish is poor.
With some attention, can this be brought up to standard?

I'm being very cautious, but I would presume so. However, you won't know until an inspection report is made, which is why I would suggest getting an independent report / assesment from a well known reputable roofer; middle-top to end quality, for safety and peace of mind, and also based on there being initial issues with the 1st roofer who was sacked.
