How does Vinted work with items that haven't sold for a bit?
I'm not looking to pay for any 'bumps'. I'm not convinced my items are going to sell so I'm keeping costs to myself to £0.
Listed some items about a week ago. 1 sold but the others haven't generated interest.
Will they just be forever searchable or at some point in time am I best off deleting them & re-listing them? Would that even make any kind of difference at all?
I know on FB-Marketplace you have the 'renew' feature after 7 days so didn't know if there was anything similar with Vinted.

There isn’t a renew option, no. Like you I find things either sell pretty quickly or not at all.
I kind of hope listing some new items helps existing ones.

if you do decide to delete and re upload make sure you take new photos , otherwise you’ll get suspended .
I do sell stuff that’s been listed for months as it is still searchable , but I list a lot of things just to keep my account active and I suspect when someone sees something newly listed they often go through the rest of the wardrobe to see if there is anything else they want to buy to go with it to get a bundle discount.

Thanks for the advice.
Didn't know that about the possible suspension and so would've fallen in to that trap.

Somewhere buried in Vinted incomprehensible rules it says deleting and relisting is not allowed, but everyone does it. As above though, different photos, or some people say use original photos but crop them and re upload to avoid bots noticing they are the same.

I found this, so gave up. That must have been a good decade ago!

to be fair to Vinted they only started up in the UK in late 2014 and really got no traction until around 2021 and they change their algorithm and rules constantly, just like eBay, so it might be worth giving them a try. The Vinted you used 10 years ago is nowhere near the same as the Vinted today.

There are a few options and others:
- You could always double up the same listings and put the same items up for sale on eBay at the same time, then removing the item from either Vinted / eBay when it sells on either platform.
- Another option is to revamp your Vinted listings each day/week by either removing or adding an extra picture and twiddling the description / price before saving which should push your listing up again in the search etc, or it used to.
- Another option which I've tried is to list the same items on eBay and then put myself on holiday for a couple of days on Vinted before taking myself back off holiday again which seemed to persuade Vinted watchers to then purchase.
Most items that I have listed in the past; and I decluttered a whole house last year, did eventually sell over a 6-8 month period using the above and a couple of extra tweeks without the need to spend a single penny to increase my listings visibility.
