I can completely understand how you are feeling, there is no rush to do anything more than you are currently doing. Try to look after yourself in terms of eating, and perhaps a short walk to get some fresh air, or just popping into the garden if that’s all you feel up to

You can talk to her like that today, in a month or in 10 years time. And anyone who tells you otherwise should learn to keep their opinions to themselves.

Get something to drink, have something to eat, sleep a little when you can. Everything else is optional.

Oh, and keep a notebook. Your brain isn't physically functioning the same way as normal. You will forget things you've done. This is normal, it will pass.

I am so sorry. I lost my husband and love of my life in January, unexpectedly, and am just getting by. Everyone's grief is different but I recognise some of the shellshock in your messages here.

I find it a comfort to understand that our relationship didn't end when his life did. Your wife will always be with you as you will have grown so much into each other over the years. That's a real thing. My sincere condolences.
