Fair enough. I'm going to wait till after my property purchase completes, then if the Barclays switching offer's still around I might join you. I've done well out of TSB over the years though, a switching offer, a fair few reward accounts, some regular savers and over £100 in complaints so all in all not bad for 4 years' work.

TSB has really gone downhill, it's my nominated bank for two savings accounts, I'm trying to switch my savings from one account to the other because of better rates, because of amount restrictions I'm doing it in £20k lumps, I called TSB and was told that would not be a problem. After four payments TSB blocked my account for security checks, it took me two days, and several "attempted" phone calls to get it reinstated and the payment sent and was assured that there would be no problem handling future payments, guess what this morning attempting to make the payment it was blocked again!

That's it I'm finished with TSB; they are treating me like a child who doesn't know what he's doing with his own money! Anyone suggests a bank that doesn't have such a patronising attitude to customers?

I think all banks will behave the same until they get a picture of your usual activity patterns. By switching all activity will be new to them. I use NatWest and only had one payment held, which was when I started moving money to get better interest rates.
