They can and will keep trying to contact you throughout the process

Study the mediation stage advice in the 8 steps you should be following in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum

Do not discuss the case at mediation, only a monetary settlement, or no settlement

If you do offer anything, start at £5 , keep it a very low amount, if no settlement is reached the process will continue as usual

  • thanks , I’ll have a study of the mediation section

Of course they can try to push you to settle, but you won't.

"Any advice also on how to settle for as little as possible at mediation would be appreciated please."

I am sorry, I don't understand the question. Nobody settles unless you really want to offer a tenner. It looks like you've taken the mediation email too seriously,

You seem to have forgotten to read the 8 steps (in the Template Defence thread) with the specific advice and links about mediation stage. Go and re-read it, get yourself back 'on piste' with the 8 steps now, and stop thinking about preparing a defence summary to talk about on the phone…or offering money!

Mediation is a two minute call. "No offer".

You don't even have to answer the call if you prefer not to. Obviously we fully expect that you already know the claim will end up discontinued because all DCB Legal UKPC defended claims are dropped before hearings.

You know that you'll pay nothing, yes?

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
