Thanks for all the rec's - ill check out a couple of them.

In answer to the 'why' asked above… we own the cars, not pcp or leased, and simply choose to keep these expensive items as clean as we can both inside and out. 'black' tyres just finishes off the job, only adds a few more minutes and and makes the shiny clean car 'look better' (in my opinion, of course)

Similar here. Though we've a leased Tesla arriving and i'll look after it to the same standard as our other cars.

Theres a reason why car dealers get their cars valeted, polished, alloys cleaned and tyres slicked - because fundamentally it makes the car look better.

Well it might look better to you. I don't think anyone would actually notice. I think if I saw anyone who had obviously coloured their tyres I would just have a good laugh.

    Laugh away Ibrahim5.

Many of us like things to look clean.

For our own sakes - not to impress you.

Pleased to hear that you find it laughable - there's not much to laugh about these days.

It's probably worth keeping a tyre cleaning kit in the car at all times. If you go through any mud you can then get out and clean your tyres.

That's a very good idea Ibrahim5, but it would be too much work for me.

I'll stick to my normal routine of washing wheels and tyres when I do the rest of the car.

But you feel free to do that as often as you like with your new-found enthusiasm.

I notice and thats the main thing. I dont really care what a stranger on the internet thinks.

And you're not colouring them. They're black already.

And of course it depends on the car. If you drive something dismal, then its hard to feel any pride in it.
