Cleaning cars - Tyre Black rec
I spend a decent amount of time cleaning the various cars in our household but have fallen out with my usual tyre black product.
Obviously I can Google but any recs for decent tyre black products that people here have used would be very welcome.
Thanks

Not the cheapest but Meguiars Hot Shine is good and easy to apply. It's a clear spray on treatment. Don't spray it on your discs.

I'm using Turtle Wax Tyre Shine, which I like more than the stuff I had previously (pound shop type products in an aerosol). It is a clear liquid that you can apply quite generously. I bought it from elsewhere but noticed it today in B&M. It produces a nice blak on rubber and black plastics without the wet look or stickiness of other products.

CarPro Pearl. Use it on tyres and other black plastics.

Never thought of cleaning tyres. I suppose you have to jack the car up to make sure that the bottom of your tyre is really clean.

you could just move the car slightly.

If you moved the car the bit that you have just cleaned would get dirty.

Why bother cleaning car at all then 🤦♀️

But tyre dressing isn't applied to the tread, only the sidewall(s).
Therefore moving the car enough to fully access the tiny bit of sidewall without dressing will not "dirty" any part of the remainder.
Please explain your logic.

It depends whether you want to achieve a wet-look shiny black finish or a more natural matt finish.
Many of the shiny effect stuff slings off and leaves oily messy marks all along the side panels.
Personally I prefer the matt effect such as from the Valet Pro range - they describe the effect as 'subtle shine' and it doesn't sling off at all.

I presume these cars don't go anywhere. Classic cars?
