That's shocking behaviour by HSBC and definitely warrants the complaint you have already lodged.

After reading the cashback offer T&Cs, it sounds like it does need to complete by 11th May.
The Offer runs from 9 March 2026 at 00:01 GMT to 11 May 2026 at 23:59 GMT (inclusive).
Funds deposited or transferred outside of these dates will not be eligible.

What this means is that transfer requests must received by May 11.

I closed the HSBC ISA as I can’t deal with their incompetence anymore…

I understand that HSBC have also committed to complete any transfer requests received by May 11 by 31 May.
That is the 31 May 2027!
Just joking - but if you don't laugh dealing with HSBC ISA transfers you might well cry!!
