Transferring cash ISA from the PO to HSBC

Print it from where? The only form I have been directed to is this 'smart' PDF which is not printable: https://ccouk.eu1.adobesign.com/public/esignWidget?wid=CBFCIBAA3AAABLblqZhBzrm652sXhlqgEfdGM5zmNSpzjjrCXfa68_0nKMq_JsLSP32KhXWPXlk9HA1mWc74*

a quick search on Google will give their Tel No

Thank you, this is the most helpful suggestion so far. I have printed it and will take it along to my branch, although I fear the same, but much delayed outcome, that HSBC won't accept a 10 character alphanumeric roll number as this is what the HSBC ISA Transfer In team said on the phone

I did speak to the transfer team and they didn't offer any alternative to the online form. I think they said they are only accepting online processing now, but will call them again to ask. I will be very annoyed with them if this was an option all along having spend 3 hours bouncing between the PO and them!!!

HSBC don't care how Post Office identify their ISA accounts, they just care that a particular ISA belonging to a particular punter can be identified by them.
Could be numbers, or letters, or colours of the rainbow, just as long as it's unique to Groggwire.
I had similar grief with a transfer to Virgin a while ago, really helps if you have a branch to actually go to and get them to check the form.

If only the HSBC folk I spoke to on the phone (HSBC Premier and then transferred to the ISA team) were as relaxed as you about it, eh? They were pretty insistent on me getting a 12 digit roll number. Anyway, I've printed the form and will take it to the branch to see how they react to it. They can also witness me calling the PO to confirm they are not able to magically produce a 12 digit roll number for HSBC's convenience.. I will also call the HSBC ISA transfer team again and ask if they can do it manually for me. Meanwhile, HSBC have agreed to investigate this issue for me and will report the outcome 'shortly'.

And, so, the final chapter in this saga… HSBC has apologised for the ISA transfer issues and said their online form is not fit for purpose. They have asked me to submit the printed form to my local branch who will ensure it is processed and the ISA transferred within 15 days. They are paying me >£100 compensation for loss of interest and inconvenience

I am going through something similar, transferring a Cash ISA from Nationwide to HSBC. Next week, the 15-day window to complete the transfer will be up. Nationwide has received the transfer request, and HSBC has confirmed that the transfer is in progress.
I hope HSBC are not dragging this out on purpose to avoid paying the cashback they promised when switching an ISA to them. The transfer must be completed by 11th May to qualify for cashback.

Don’t stress, the transfer does not have to complete by the end of the offer period. They just need to have received your transfer request by then, which in your case they clearly have. To count for the offer, they allow 70 days from opening the ISA to receiving the transfer. They are highly unlikely to drag out the completion beyond this, and if they did, you’d have good reason for a complaint and compensation.
There is also an ISA transfer convention, may be even a rule, that the receiving provider pays interest from the day after the ISA has left the old provider. Whether HSBC comply with this remains to be seen.

Mine was delayed 20 days. When they finally put the money in my account the statement was dated 21st April, not the day it was received. That's a loss of about £40 of interest, and they haven't replied to my official complaint from a week ago. I am still pursuing it for the lost interest and compensation for all the stress they have caused me.
Contrast their behaviour to Virgin Money who paid a standing order late and cost me £5 in charges. When I complained they phoned me the next day, refunded my charges and gave me £75 compensation. I would've been happy with £10!
