Qatar flight delay expenses
Hi. Can anyone advise how to claim hotel and foods costs from Qatar airline. We were stuck in Australia for 12days and eventually rerouted to UK with Cathay. I can't find any links on their website TIA.
NB: I know I'm not entitled to the £520 EU compensation

Not sure there is any such entitlement to expenses from the airline, but does your travel insurance cover it perhaps? As in another recent thread asking similar, was this a package or flight-only booking?

Flight only. This is what their website says but no link to access a claim or explain whether covered. I have to try to claim from airline before insurance will pay, hence tge question.
"The availability of meals, refreshments, and hotel accommodation varies based on the duration of the delay, the reason for the cancellation and the availability of alternative flight options, as well as local regulations"

I also don’t think that Qatar will cover your travel delay costs.
Try travel insurance.

I understand OP to be saying that insurance won't cooperate without proof of claim rejection from the airline, but I don't have any experience of contacting Qatar - in OP's shoes I'd start at https://www.qatarairways.com/en-gb/help.html where there's a phone number, live chat and a feedback form.
