HSBC cashback offer

that's essentially it, yes.
How HSBC would determine what was in HSBC / FD / M&S before March 9, I have no idea. Those planning to use money that could be considered to have been in those companies before March 9 might want to double check their eligibility - - though I wouldn't expect that many people would keep lots of money parked for months in any of these 3 companies.
I did deposit a few K into my HSBC current account after I had opened the ISA, and then transferred it over into the ISA. HSBC have verbally confirmed to me that this was perfectly legit to do, and that the money counts for the offer.1 -
I transferred out from my HSBC current account to another bank after the 9th , then a week later after I transferred this money to the HSBC ISA I opened. No idea if I'll get the reward

I can't see it either

Go to the HSBC fixed rate cash isa page.
Scroll down to photo of a smiley woman with a cup of coffee.
Click on the "Earn cashback" box in that photo.
Hopefully, you're there.

https://www.hsbc.co.uk/savings/products/fixed-rate-isa now has the message
We're currently receiving a high number of ISA transfer-in applications, which may mean we're taking longer than usual to process your request. Please avoid resubmitting your application

Mmm yes - did they not plan for this when they announced a cashback scheme and a market leading fixed rate isa as a major high street bank?
If they had effective automated systems in place to manage ISA transfers and ensure they are completed and actioned - this shouldn't of course be a major issue.
My current ISA provider is just waiting for HSBC to give a completion confirmation - and then they will release the funds. No idea when this will happen - I requested the transfer in late March.
And even then - as one poster has highlighted in the dedicated HSBC cashback thread - just because the funds have been transferred doesn't mean they appear in your new HSBC ISA on a timely basis (i.e. two weeks after the funds were transferred by their old provider and still apparently waiting for the funds to appear in their HSBC account - which is concerning).

.I don’t see it either.
Currently, I have only a couple of £k in the account, waiting for the xfer-in to happen. May be the smiling woman only appears once you have at least £20k in the account?

Yep! And I'm now on 16 days since HSBC got my money and 2 days since I put my official complaint in and still no sign of my £20K. Today is 30 days since I opened the ISA, so will be interesting to see whether they close it as their message to me a week ago said they would if I didn't fund it.
Anybody expecting their phone support to help them is going to be sorely disappointed. All they do is read a script, and placate you by saying "I understand your frustration" and similar phrases. I don't know how you can speak to anybody who can actually do something.

Yes, I also chat with HSBC via chat option on their mobile app, and received confirmation that that the transfer from my newly opened HSBC account to ISA account will qualify for cashback, as long as other conditions are met (min £20K, funds deposited/transfered by 11 May 2026).
"New funds means when you open the account and deposit" to new ISA account, the agent told me.0
