Going to court vs getting a court claim are 2 different things. If its ignored long enough the company asks the County Court to get money off you. This is the small claims court. It essentially states in the letter, "This company says you owe them money and have asked us to sort it out. Pay it or write a defence, up to you. If you want to defend it can end up in court later, if the company wants to. If you lose in court you have a month to pay the fine, otherwise you get a CCJ." But chances are you wont lose, just look around this forum and see different issues from people.

It's up to you if you wish to appeal and leave a paper trail of evidence, but do follow the guidance on the newbies thread/page (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822/newbies-private-parking-ticket-old-or-new-read-these-faqs-first-thankyou#latest)

Looks like a trap to find out if the appellant was driving. Don't answer that but you could reply and say you appealed as registered keeper but can advise that the family has used the service station before, but will never do so again at this rate.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I wouldnt bother replying. This is a trap of admittance to you driving.

Or can say what Coupon-mad said, about being the registered KEEPER.

Received a reply to my appeal.…assume this is a trap?

    Yeah it is.

What has a previous visit to the site got to do with this claim, only a fishing exercise amateur outfit that haven't a clue by the looks of it.

However according to Companies House their Director Vijayakumari BALAKUMARAN has started a multitude of different companies over the years (in excess of 7) most with different registered addresses including between 1997 and 2023 Key Parking Services Ltd which has disappeared off the face of the earth and morphed in to Oyslans. I assume he is trying his hand at parking scams again.

According to Facebook people are complaining about receiving PCN's for even queueing 5 and 8 minutes to use the car wash at the garage in question! A typical scammer that the IPC welcomes with open arms!

His current HQ is reportedly at small fry garage in Bedworth.
