The idea is that you would just go back to your thread and click the circle to edit your opening post and simply add strikethrough to more boxes any time you like.
The posts below that anyone can post on to encourage you and that doesn't change the statusbar. All your progress tracking is in the opening post.
Essentially, this board has 3 extra pieces of functionality added to it -
One is simply to find any cell in the tables that have strikethrough text and colour them green so they're more noticeable.
Another is to look at any table in the opening post. Count up the sum total amount in all the cells, and then count up the sum total that have been struck out - and display those numbers with a status bar.
Finally, it figures out what cell should have an extra border to represent today.
Does that make sense?

Thank you and yes that does make sense and I have managed to go back in and edit the original post to bring the progress bar in line with my progress so far this year. I will encourage other regular users to give it a go.

One thing I think you would need to highlight is that savers need to use the strike to colour in the cells unless there is a way that could happen just by clicking in the box and maybe toggle on and off? .

Yes. I know it's an extra thing to understand.
I've given some general feedback to our provider that checkboxes would be really useful - not just for this use, but in all sorts of ways for our members to list things and keep track of things. We'll have to see if they decide to add it as a feature 🙂
