In which case, past experience has shown there is a greater chance of you experiencing a delay.
But you might have any Self Assessment refund due in a few days.

Waiting times for being on hold seem to have really reduced. As I put earlier on this thread i have to request my own repayment, it went straight back to not yet used 2 days later. Tried again & did the same thing. Rang today & turns out i was on a worklist for security checks last year & not been removed. They processed payment over the phone & they said it should be in within the next few days

I had the same issue. I requested payment on the 8th but on the 14th it went from pending back to not yet used. I phoned them and they processed over the phone. I was just told my payment needed to be processed manually.

How can you see if the refund is pending please?

you need to click on repayments on the self assessment page online. Then click on the amount for this year and it should say pending.

im guessing you’re still down as pending at the minute?

I don't seem to have that option on my account. I could see the overpayment value so I requested a refund and completed my bank details.
I could then see the following message:
A repayment was requested recently and that request is currently being processed. This will take 48 hours after which you will be able to make a further repayment request if your account is in credit.
It's now showing the same value as before available for repayment.

you will have to check back tomorrow or Tuesday now and it should change
