Subject: Samsung Galaxy FE (Dual SIM) - Sky Mobile "Emergency Calls Only" Issue

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some technical advice. I have a Samsung Galaxy FE running a Dual SIM setup (both on Sky Mobile).

Suddenly, my primary Sky SIM has stopped working and is displaying 'Emergency Calls Only.' I’ve already been through the basic troubleshooting with Sky support, but unfortunately, the situation hasn't improved.

Since it's a Dual SIM Samsung, I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this specific 'Emergency Calls' glitch on the Sky/O2 network? Are there any specific network reset steps or APN setting tweaks that have worked for others to restore the signal? I'm trying to avoid a factory reset if possible.

Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!"

Have you done the most obvious, removed the SIM and cleaned it?

Have you swapped the physical SIMs into the other slots and if so, is the error linked to the card or the slot?

Since you've contacted Sky support, that has presumably ruled out any problems with your billing/payments or any chance that there has been a fraudulent SIM swap?

What happens when you call the main number from another phone?

Calls Sky and ask them to send as soon as possible, it should be a couple of working days at most.

Is the SIM the original one that's 12 years old?

I'd always want to check a SIM in another phone before declaring it dead, but anyways..

You need a working SIM with your number on it and the only place you'll get that is from Sky. Get it ordered ASAP but make sure it's a REPLACEMENT/SWAP to preserve your existing number. Probably be into next week before that gets dispatched/delivered but they might have an express service (if you pay for it).

Which model FE do you have? Does it have eSIM? That might well be able to be delivered pretty much instantaneously.
