Cash ISA transfer - Charter to Vanquis
Has anyone experienced a Cash ISA transfer from Charter Savings Bank to Vanquis Bank?
How long did the transfer take?

How did you manage to do this? Only way I have seen to transfer to Vanquis is by posting them a transfer form, which will take more than a day.

No postal forms required in my case.
It was a very easy digital transfer using the instructions set out by Vanquis.

Just checked my notes, as I have a fixed with Vanquis involving a transfer from Bank of Scotland.
Opened 2 year fix with Vanquis 29/6/25 to transfer maturing BoS ISA maturing 12/7/25. 15/7/25 - ISA transferred to Vanquis. All done online and no posting of any transfer forms.0 -
Same here, I applied for Vanquis Triple Access Cash ISA Issue 5 on Saturday 11th April late night and completed online transfer form to transfer in from Aldermore. Monday I receive confirmation from Aldermore for transfer out.
Signed in to my Aldermore today to see the account closed and checked my Vanquis account to see the transfer completed.

That's very weird, I couldn't find an option for requesting a transfer online. Someone help me please with a screenshot or something….

I didn't take any screenshots at the time, I don't think, it was a while back. If I did they will be on old laptop. If no one else comes back to you, I'll have a look tomorrow, or dig into Vanquis account and see what I can come up with.
I have just opened a new Vanquis ISA this tax year, but that was current year subscription with no transfer in, otherwise my memory might have been a bit better. It does pay to keep notes though.1 -
@friolento
As I thought, I don't have any screenshots, just all the T's & C's and all the blurb that goes with opening the ISA, and letter from BoS confirming transfer.
I looked into my current flexible ISA to see if I could add a transfer, but couldn't see a way to do that.
So onto an internet search and it came up with:-
To transfer an existing ISA into a Vanquis flexible ISA, you must use the Vanquis Cash ISA Transfer Form or initiate the transfer during the new account application process if opening a fresh account. The transfer can be requested via Online Banking, telephone, email, or by post, and funds must be moved before the end of the tax year to avoid impacting your annual subscription limit.Transfer Methods
- New Account Application: If you are opening a new flexible ISA, you can tick the box to transfer an existing ISA from another provider as part of the application; if you have already subscribed to another ISA in the current tax year, you must transfer the full current year subscription.
- Existing Account: If you already hold a flexible ISA, you can request a transfer by contacting Vanquis directly via Online Banking, telephone (0191 505 0033), email (customerservice@vanquissavings.co.uk), or by submitting a written instruction.
- Paper Forms: If the originating provider does not support the ISA Transfer Service, you can print the Cash ISA Transfer Form from the Vanquis website, complete it, and mail it to Vanquis Bank Savings, Freepost RUGA-ZTJL-HBTJ, PO Box 967, Wallsend, NE28 5FD.
I obviously ticked the box for transferring when I applied, but I honestly cannot remember any of the details now, just know that it was all done online.
At least this exercise has made me aware, that if I do want to transfer another ISA in to my flexible later in the year, I'll have to contact Vanquis online for further instruction.1 -
Thank you for the details. It seems you can request a transfer online during the initial ISA application but any subsequent transfer requests [into easy access ISA] requires a form or email or some such. I have checked online again, still cannot see any option for requesting an ISA transfer. Never mind. At least they have a Freepost address
