There's no massive benefit to Amazon though - given they're not the ones who sold you the thing.

Corsair do not sell on Amazon, the "shop" on Amazon is just a collection of all Corsair products being sold on Amazon, nothing to do with Corsair themselves.

Of course they are being obtuse
Only a complete idiot would even consider giving you £900 worth of goods for £200
Any business which consistently did what you are expecting would go bust in a very short time

That's my mistake. The seller is actually Amazon themselves (Amazon.co.uk)

It appears they are the sellers

I believe Amazon are actually the seller

Of course, I can't argue with the train of thought.
But I did order it when it was much cheaper. The price went up in the time it took for me to receive the product, then I was sent a faulty product. I am just looking to receive the expected product at the price I originally agreed.

In which case I don't believe their stance is justifiable:
Now I've come to reorder the item, and it isn't in stock with the original seller. But I can order the exact same item through another seller. This was the seller charging £902, so I presumed this wouldn't be an issue, but I called to double check before I spent my money.
Now I am being told that because it isn't the original seller, they won't refund me the difference if I spend my money.

Is this a case where the often-mentioned loss of bargain comes into play? If Amazon has an identical replacement product available but is choosing not to replace the faulty item for reasons of cost, then does OP have a right to sue them for loss of bargain? Or is there a 'reasonableness' element to it, given the 330% price increase?
Taking Amazon to court does carry the risk that OP's account gets closed, something else often warned about (but to my recollection, I don't think I've seen this happen to anyone on here).
Edited to add: With the mix-up around the seller, I don't think my comment above applies. It appears Amazon were the original seller and do not have stock, so I think they aren't breaching any rights by offering a refund.

Just to clarify for anyone reading.
Original seller - Amazon. The ones who made me wait 4-5 months for the item to turn up, then refuse my replacement.
New seller - Private Seller. They're refusing to foot the extra cost of replacing the item from this seller, though the wait time for the item was entirely on them (albeit with circumstances outside of their control; though still not my fault either)
