If you are not going to diy it then it may be cheaper to look at putting a lean to garden room against the side of the garage.

    thank all.

yes I did misunderstand the suggestion… it’s a great “out of the box” idea … I’ll think on it but yeh I think it’s probably a non starter as you’d likely need to move the (very heavy) table every other shot…

yeh a lean-to is an option for sure

Not sure it would work in practice (ie balls not moving as table moves) and not sure it wouldnt spoil the fun of the game but in theory it could work

I would be surprised if the balls did not move. You would need a video referee to place them back correctly every time .

In principle you could get an ultra smooth mechanism etc but it'd likely be slow so exacerbate the second issue and may not cost any less than the patio doors. Not sure a video ref would be involved in a few mates hitting balls around after a few beers… Im not assuming we are looking for a setup where the OP could host the world championships.

😜 actually… I got the larger size… 6x4ft maybe? To test it out and that’s what informed me that it just wasn’t quite appropriate…. Not far off but need an extra foot and a half width

And I’ll need to seal it because the table warped (as expected).

This is definitely an option worth considering - THANKS.

I had no idea you could get outside tables - will need to research if they're up to the job and 'play true'.

if you have room a garden office with tiled roof/ electric / insulation would make for more room for a bigger table

you would have to put down much thicker flooring than standard

i have a 16 x 8 garden office with french doors which the pool table snooker table would fit through has 3 double glazed windows / i fully insulated it / sits 4 inches of the floor to let water run under it and did the electric myself of a water feature spur which cost £300 in total and i paid £4k for the office supplied and installed 6 years ago now/ still good as new

they made any size you wanted so a 24 foot by 12 foot would be £7k approx and i would imagine small bespoke shed builders like this are everywhere in the country i would have thought

bought mine wright sheds wickford / no shop just a bespoke made to order place which must be similar everywhere and a fraction of garden center prices

i just use a gas fire in the winter when i am in there and buy the bottles in the summer for it from bootsales for £25

Yes normally cheaper than a garden centre, but normally more expensive than from one of the big online shed retailers. Although probably better.
