Group tour I went on was age-profiled without me knowing

Indeed, and they might not have done. It might be just coincidence that everyone in the OP's group was >67.
We need the OP to explain the full details and what they feel they have lost as a result of this.
I note, also, the OP is coy about their own age "in my 70's" is rather a broad spectrum.

I am surprised the OP knew the ages of the others on the tour.

Maybe they were grumbling about being stuck in a group with people all in their 70's & 80's?

I've made a complaint to the tour co. about being age-profiled as I think they should have flagged that up at the time of booking, I don't believe it's something a customer needs to ask. At least they might mention it on future bookings. I'll post any response I get

And if they'd only had bookings from people in their 60s/70s, presumably you would have been ok with it, so im not sure what you think you've missed out on...

I'd imagine your letter will be 'filed' in the bin.
Absolute trivial nonsense.

On the types of group tour I go to more unusual places - and I've been on about 50 group tours -you'd never get only 60s/70s, I was really surprised I wasn't the oldest.

Well it wasn't binned, I got a speedy response the gist of which was
"I'm sorry this didn't work for you. The intention is never to separate groups strictly by age, but rather to try and create a comfortable group dynamic while also accommodating friends and those travelling together where needed. I appreciate your comments on this and will take them into account when making group arrangements for future tours".
If the intention is never to separate groups strictly by age why on earth did they do it

Presumably you asked them that question ?

That's called a 'go away' reply.
