Moneybox Cash ISA rate for transfers in
Comments

Annoyingly (for me!) the ISA rate has just increased to 4.51%!!! 🤦

Worth noting that Moneybox ISA's are not flexible, so you'll lose some of your allowance if you makes withdrawals.

Yep, that's absolutely true...sorry, forgot to mention that.
Also, you can have up to three withdrawals per year with affecting your rate. Any more than three and your rate drops.

So it is necessary to deposit at least £500 of new money? It would not be possible to apply and fund solely with a transfer in? I assume that is what they mean, but sometimes one can "deposit" via a transfer.

Moneybox cash ISA
So in the last week Moneybox have changed their rate and now apply that rate to transfers in.
Any chance they now allow non-new, returning customers access to those rates?
Otherwise PrinBS are getting my money, I'll forego the quick withdrawals and funky app.

Can you apply for a Moneybox cash ISA today, but not fund it with new money until the new tax year?
Is there a 10 day deadline like with Trading 212?
Also once opened, you can then transfer in any maturing cash ISAs held elsewhere, at any point?
I'm either going with Moneybox or Trading 212 but as I also have maturing cash ISAs elsewhere during the year, Moneybox probably the one to go for i guess

Yes you can fund solely through a transfer in...that's what I did. They just state you need at least £500 in there...whether that comes from a direct payment or a transfer in is up to you

It's really annoying that the rate with them is now 4.51%. I just transferred to them too.

It is a pattern we saw last year too, where there was a bit of a rate war in the final few days to the end of the tax year.

So, I've just registered for an account & got as far this...
So does this mean I've passed all the verification checks & I can just wait until 6th April 2026 to actually fund it with new money, as I've already used my allowance elsewhere for this tax year?
