You say you uninstalled everything. Have you tried just reinstalling it? That may be all you need. If you are lucky it may not need new downloads and complication, just a reinstall from scratch.

I have a Samsung Xpress SL-M2020, my desktop PC is a Dell Optiplex from around 3 years ago with Windows 11 Pro.

I have had to re-install the printer drivers a couple of times, easy job just look on the HP site. There aren’t 5 driver packages for one printer and one operating system.

I think I am not explaining my issue:

I know I have to re-install the printer.

My question is: if you know which of the alternatives given on HP I have to use to install the scanner (for example No 1 or maybe No 3 or maybe No 2).

Please answer if you know, I'm looking for help not just conversation.

Where are you getting this list of options from? You need to give us more details. Like the version of windows you are using.

Windows 11 but don't know what build.

I have gave a link to the OP from on here from someone who had the same issue last year but I got reply saying they don't want a new scanner, I never mentioned buying anything but I checked the hp site and the options are clear and and also told the OP that in the link it was solved by downloading and running the diagnostic software.

The OP needs to show screenshots of what they are looking at.

Thats enough of me having a conversation.
