Sky TV New channels for Essentials package
I have the Sky Essentials TV package. In Feb I was contacted by sky to tell me that I will be getting new channels Disney HBO max and Huyu in March.
"Changes to your Sky subscription Hello *****
We’re always looking for ways to give you even more from your Sky subscription. From March, we’re building extra value into your package, starting with Disney+, shortly followed by HBO Max and then Hayu. Together, that’s over £15 worth of streaming apps each month, included as standard.
Today I got a letter saying they made a mistake.
"We recently contacted you regarding updates to your Sky subscription. We are writing to clarify an error in that communication. We stayed that streaming apps such as Disney HBO max and Hayu would be included. This was incorrect. These apps are not included. We apologise for the confusion this may have caused.
Has anyone else had this. Not great is it. I had told my kids that they were getting Disney back again.

Don't know about your emails but they're definitely not included for free with Essentials. Possibly a deal will be available once they launch, you'll have to wait and see.

Well that's my point. They emailed me and said it was and now they say it isn't.

And they're correct, it isn't.
Companies are allowed to make mistakes in advertising and such as long as they correct it.

Not quite sure what this "holier than God" thing people seem to have because a company happens to make make a simple mistake. Nobody is perfect.
The Disney / HBO stuff is documented here and says it will only be on the Ultimate TV packages.
https://www.sky.com/tv/appsHowever if you're that bothered about HBO Max you can get it (albeit as " HBO Max Basic with Ads") as part of the Entertainment Pass on Now from the end of March, or you can buy it from HBO themselves (which seems a bit pointless if you can get it bundled in with Sky).
Disney+ again is ultimate only (and you can buy it separately or bundled with somethng else no doubt) and Hayu is on Now if you're into that reality stuff (or Sky Ultimate).

Not holier than God just disappointed that something they offered has now been removed. I work in place that if we have a price on display that is wrong we have to honour the price to the customer. Was just asking if anyone else had had same email and then a letter

Possibly just the channel (305) which launched today as well, rather than the App?
