Lloyds/Halifax/BoS Apps/Website Showing Other Transactions

It may be that they are applying a very narrow definition of data breach, such as hacking. Of course, even showing personal details to someone else is actually a data breach - but that might be the mental gymnastics going on, perhaps.

"We're sorry this happened. This issue was quickly identified and resolved."
Translation: Nothing to see here folks, move on and forget it happened.
I've messaged them to enquire whether any of my details were made visible to anyone else and my concern about this. Let's see what mealy mouthed response I get, if any. 🙄

I asked a family member and friend who bank with Halifax, they didn’t notice the issue. But I suspect you’d have to be looking at your accounts within the period of the issue.
Presumably Lloyds are stating it’s not a data breech as the data did not get breeched outside of Lloyds banking group. It would however certainly make me think twice.

Has Lloyds given a way for customers to know if they were affected? I.e. if their account details were shown to others?

They haven't even put a notice on the three main websites to say what has happened (in general terms). You'd think that something along the lines of "You may have seen this on the news, but don't worry" would be the minimum response a bank ought to be making.

After 46 hours the complaint I raised via the Lloyds banking app chat finally got a response. They told me my data wasn't impacted because I was not logged in at the time, so hopefully that will give you some idea

My query has gone to their complaints department, I didn't ask for them to do that, they just did it.

I'm not really convinced by this reply. Sounds to me like they have no idea and are trying to fob you off.
Their efforts to downplay this data breach (that's what it is even if they're in denial about it) is more disappointing to me than the data breach itself. I will probably close my Lloyds account next week, though the damage is already done. They cannot be trusted.

That response implies that both person A and person B had to be online at the same time, for person A to see person B's details. I'm not convinced by it.

I asked the same thing. They dodged my question and claimed "your personal details were not exposed in a way that would allow anyone to access your account", so I pushed to escalate the issue. It’s currently stuck in the complaints queue.

When I logged into the Halifax account earlier this week I did get an error message. And there was nothing listed in any of my 3 accounts. That remained that way for the rest of the day. But was ok the following day. Didn’t give it much thought until I saw the news item. Not sure if it’s unrelated or not.
