Qatar Airways policy
The policy shown seems relevant to normal operations not the scenario we see today. 2 changes in 14 days from original booking are irrelevant. I’ve already had 3 flights cancelled and 14 days from our original booking will soon pass with no available flights (Sri Lanka to Heathrow)
Could the Qatar policy be reviewed by the airline?

My wife & I were meant to be returning to LHR from CMB (Colombo) via Doha on 01 March 2026. These flights were cancelled by the airline. They subsequently offered flights on 03 March 2026 which were cancelled, on 07 March 2026 and 10 March 2026 all of which were cancelled. We are now waiting to hear further from Qatar’s Network Disruption team who seem for now to have gone cold. The information provided seems to me to perhaps be relevant when flights are operating normally, not under the current situation. Qatar Airways has so far, in my opinion, handled customer service badly. The five telephone numbers I was given by the airline rep outside Colombo airport were out of service and the WhatsApp number message I sent 10 days ago is still awaiting a reply. (Passengers on cancelled flights were not allowed into the airport to speak with the Qatar airline staff.)
Definitely could do with an updated statement relevant to the current situation.

Do you think anyone from Qatar airline is reading this?

The airline doesn't read posts here.
They will be very busy with the amount of people they have to help, but you can keep trying to speak to them. The situation can keep changing, so they have to keep cancelling and rebooking flights.
Here is a post about the disruptions due to the middle east conflict:

Do you have a QR Privilege Club account or have signed up to QR mailing? I'm receiving daily updates from the airline announcing what flights they are hoping to operate over coming days.

No, but I was hoping whoever compiled the article ’Stranded abroad..’ might question the airline about it’s policy; especially if it seems to be completely unsuitable for the current situation

That’s exactly the post in which this information was posted. Not a great deal of help.

I have subscribed. It doesn’t really help me to change my tickets though unfortunately. The airline distributed a sheet at CMB airport with 5 local telephone numbers that appear to be out of service and a WhatsApp number they don’t reply to. They were replying to emails and so fingers crossed I’ll hear from them in the next week.

I doubt very much that a foreign based airline will have time to listen to someone from this site.

QR website indicated that they plan to operate CMB DOH 13 March. Also DOH LHR so hopefully a connection possibility for you.
