I see that’s pretty standard. Absolute thieves. I can’t believe their costs are anywhere near £2400 a month for a 3 bed house.

Rental has increased a lot whereas the student maintainance loan hasnt gone up enough to compensate. My eldest was at Uni between 2018 - 2022. There was only ever one year (the first with Uni halls and a shorter term) where his min loan would have covered his rent (nothing left over to live on but rent covered) and he was studying in a cheap Northern town. From then on rent alone has exceeded the minimum maintainance loan.
