Landscape binder with spine on short side

Good morning, I’ve done a family tree for a friend and want to present it in a book form, spring back folders are generally around £20, but he wants 12 copies at a much cheaper cost. So far I can’t find anything apart from using Chicago screws, but then can’t find what to use as covers.
Not exactly ‘crafting’ but it is my hobby 😊

What is the price he's willing to pay for this?

One option is getting a comb binding machine, but whether that's an option depends on whether you'll be doing more of this type of thing in future.

Or a thermal binding machine might work, depending on the number of pages.

I've used Mixam in the past for printing a book and was very pleased with the service and results.

My trial quote was for 12 copies for £49 (not including delivery) - that's under £5 a copy.

Although it will obviously depend on the various options selected - number of pages, weight and type of paper, hard or soft cover etc,,,,

thanks all, there are 85 pages in each book, I've been looking at the options again, chicago screws are very cheap, just not sure what to use as covers?

You could just use card or acetate - that would be simplest.

How easy will it be to turn the pages and read it if you use Chicago screws?

I don't really know, turning the pages did work with the springback folder he had. I'll have a look at the margins now

For 88 pages the Mixam quote comes out at around £77 (12 wire bound A4 landscape books in colour with cover) - that's under £6.50 a copy. .

OP, you seem a bit fixated on chicago screws - is this for aesthetic reasons or something else? @p00hsticks ' suggestion would give you usable books for a reasonable price... so is there a reason you don't seem to want wire bound or another (not Chicago screw) binding method?

Probably because they will work out under £1 per book, he really wants to gift a copy each of the younger generation in the family. I am looking at all suggestions though thank you 😊
