I have received CLAIM FORM for Charge Notice at Bristol Leigh Woods

Hi money saving expert.

I am here as I have received CLAIM FORM for Charge Notice at Bristol Leigh Woods from Civil National Business Centre".

Whilst looking for help and trying not to panic I read a thread on here that had a positive outcome to a claim at the same place with a similar letter.
Please note I have already the completed the Acknowledgment of Service last week but have done nothing further.

I have read the newbies guide and would really appreciate any help with my next steps!

I think I opened and then missed the initial letter sent by dcblegal on 19th Jan2026. I do not think they provided a photo either and there is not one on the letter I have from them.

This escalated so fast and is quite scary right now!

So, a Group Nexus , DCB LEGAL court claim, issue date 23rd feb , AOS completed, no need to be worried , it will never get to a hearing

Adapt the template defence in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad

I assume that the original pcn was £50. ?

Ah thank you! I will get adapting.

The original PCN was for £120 which seemed an awful lot! In fact I don't think I even received a PCN just the original letter of claim from DCB legal and then the civil business centre one posted here. So possibly the original may have been 50£ but as I said I never received it. I would probably have paid 50£ and moved on had I seen it. But this is far too much now!

Do I need to complain to my MP or the site owner.

You don't need to adapt anything as the Template Defence thread links you to a pre-written para 3 for this POC.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The Original pcn would have been for £50

The powerless debt collectors added an extra £70 to make the alleged debt £120 , pure fiction

Your priority is to get your defence in using MCOL via your government gateway

Is it the paragraph from minimonsta? Is there a reason it is the third paragraph? As in am I missing what to put in paragraph 1 and 2? Sorry I am so new to this and wouldn't want to add unnecessary detail.

Do not alter paragraphs 1 or 2, only paragraph 3 , leaving the rest alone too ( 10 paragraphs. )

Read the instructions in the thread: you use the whole template defence, not just three paragraphs.

With an issue date of 23/02/26 and having completed the AoS in a timely manner your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 30/03/26

    So I have a concern.

I responded with my AOS in a timely manner but it was via first class post. It was just the AOS I sent. I did not send the defense part of the letter.

Today I logged onto MCOL to do the defense electronically and it says a bar has been put in place on the claim and I cannot respond at this time (as shown in pic)

Should I be worried? Or should I send off a printed version of my defense template as the issue may be from me responding via letter and post meaning I must continue via letter and post.
