It definitely isn't level - the flooring (and the screed) only go part way under, but that tips it back, not forwards, so shouldn't be so much of an issue. Can't get the worktops off as they're granite. Well, not until I take them all out and change them for something I like… TBH, if I have to pull it out to run it for the next couple of months, I'll do that. Hopefully once the utility room is done I can move it in there (put it's top back on) and find it works!

Once the batteries and inverter are back in and there's a decent amount of sunshine I'll do more testing. There are negative electricity prices this afternoon, so I need to run lots of stuff anyway!

    Unblocked the bath plug hole.

Tried to plant out seedlings but one of the chickens flew up, landed on the tray, and tipped the whole thing over. I saved the few I could 🙄 they are determined for me to eat no homegrown veg this year, that's the second time they've thwarted my attempt.

I did set up some mini hoops and netting on the salad bed though.

I also bought travel insurance and got it with admiral for a pound less than admiral offered me for renewal.

You're all doing so well with your OATs 🤩 Mine have mostly been work related lately 😬 But I did change the batteries in the thermostat, then eventually found the wireless receiver to pair it with the thermostat to make the boiler work again 😬

And today has been a day of garden OATs. Took everything out of the greenhouse, cleaned and painted the wooden staging with decking oil (I made it myself from old pallets so it won't last forever but I'd rather not remake it just yet!) Now scrubbing plant pots for the first time ever and tomorrow I might even plant some seeds!

Nicely accompanied by a pheasant and some skylarks, and I'm pretty sure I just heard a random peacock in the distance too 🤔 wonder whose got one of them?!

You obviously have posh neighbours Cheery!

Not sure my dug out and replanted strawberry plants have survived, but the ones in the cracks in the paving are happy, so I should at least have runners for next year if they ones in the bed don't make it.

Electrician was here today. So the first fix is done in the garage conversion (builders won't be best pleased than one lot of plasterboard isn't back on, but then that's what happens if they don't have a plan and communicate). Solar is back up and running. Plant room has had a good clean. Laundry has been done while the utility room is clean. And as I couldn't do much else, some clearing of couch grass from paving has been done in the veg plot. Oh, and ordered some trellis for the side of the shed.

Tomorrow I have to collect muntjac from my mum (not sure I have quite enough room in the freezer for it all TBH now I'm down to one freezer for both me and the animals), and get on with my garden list. Stuff like planting out the broad beans and mangetout from the greenhouse into beds, putting up wire for the blackberry and fig, mulching the fruit bushes and rhubarb, and planting any strawberries that have survived.

Today I have to wash up after having cousins over for tea and do some watering. And the dog says he deserves another walk as he hasn't had a proper one thanks to the electrician being here in the morning and cousins here in the afternoon.

Made a start on the end/start of month big flat clean. The microfibre dusting cloth is in the middle of the hall so it annoys me and I continue 😁

Does that work, or do you just walk round it like I do?

There will be some walking around it 😁 but it will annoy me and I will continue sooner because of that. Or put it back in the cupboard, I don't actually care that much about dust 😂
