Thanks, i dont see anywhere on greggs web page, when using my laptop, that offers "create account".
My Spec for an Android phone is as follows….

is too old for things.O/S:

2400mAh
Apps:
Google Wallet (be able to pay for things with the phone)
Greggs App
Mcdonalds App
LinkedIn App
Teams App
Zoom App

Use:
Useable to order an Uber Taxi.
Useable to pay for parking on Ringgo, APCOA, etc etc.
Useable to do Teams Meetings.
Useable to do 2 factor authentification.
Useable to order train tickets.Camera:
Just good quality enough to be able to take pictures of
any car that I may be in an accident with.Audio:
Can be used with plug in earpiece0 -
I had this problem with the Gregg app on an updated iPhone, so I don't think it's necessarily the issue that the phone is older.
I used autofill to enter the fields on the page (name, number etc) and I think that's what it didn't like. When I typed everything in manually and slowly, it all worked despite using the same info.

I recommended the Samsung A16 upthread.
Sorry I disagree with other commentors suggesting to ask Greggs to make an exclusive app for 10 year old phones or that it's an issue with autofill. I know this is MSE, but we're hardly advising the OP to buy a brand new iPhone 17 Pro Max, it is reality that at some point devices because redundant, particularly where software is involved.
Nonetheless to complete your list:
Price:
~£100.Age:
Released Nov 2024O/S:
AndroidDimensions:
I see you've copied the dimensions of your current handset and made it the maximum size you would accept. I would suggest you will struggle to find any modern handset with these dimensions (or less) considering it has a 5" screen. Screen sizes have generally increased over the past decade. The A16 has a 6.7" so is naturally bigger, but again, you will seriously struggle to find any modern phone with dimensions the same or less than your current phone.Dimensions for the A16 are 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 mm - if you compare total volume between the two handsets it means the A16 is around ~22.5% bigger. But, the screen is 34% bigger (which translates to better Screen to Body ratio, or thinner bezels/edges).
Battery:
5000mAh (though that doesn't necessarily mean you'll get twice the battery life, as a faster phone will generally use more power). I think most phones are designed to last a full day of use.Apps:
It will run all modern apps and do all the tasks you listed.
Camera:
The front selfie camera is 13MP (which is the same as the main camera on your phone). The back camera is 50MP, more than suitable for what you mentionedAudio:
It does not have a 3.5mm audio jack - you'll find most modern phones do not. A lot of people use bluetooth earphones nowadays, but if you wanted you could use a USB C > 3.5mm jack adaptor to plug in wired headphones. E.g.
And that's not including the most important bits, the plethora of additional features (e.g. Biometrics for 2FA and authenticators, which you mentioned interest in, upgrading to an AMOLED display, etc), and the fact the phone will run like lightning compared to your old phone since the CPU performance is in a different universe to your current phone.Just for other forumites, happy for people to disagree with my recommendation - but if doing so, please suggest an alternative.

Many Androids at the budget end only offer 2 OS updates max and 2 year's support / security updates - one I purchased a few years back updated on set up so had one more left. The Samsung A16 mentioned above gives 6 OS and 6 year's security updates so Android 20 and late 2030. It may not actually be able to accommodate some of the later OS but it is way better than the standard 2. Something that needs checking out on any prospective purchase.

Thanks for advice on Samsung A16 mobile phone.
Say i wish to buy one, do you know where from.?
I dont wish to buy a contract with it as i will just use it with whichever free ,or personal , wifi i happen to be near.
I cant get things delivered to my flat block as nobody answers the door. The Royl al Mail can get in to the lobby, but they just dump things on the window sill and a mobile phone, even in a parcel, woudl get nicked i fear.
It would be good if it could be ordered to an Amazon locker….or some click and collect thing.
I see Samsung A16 on Amazon, but its hard to tell if its second hand or not.? I dont want a second hand smartphone as its likely to have been nicked off someone….or loaded with spyware.

as you were advised with the difficulties related to Teams , the fact you are using a phone released in 2017 which at best is Android 9 is the fundamental issue here

I don't wish to add to your concerns, but there are two versions of the A16 - 4G and 5G.
I would make sure it's the 5G version. Also be aware that coming from your tiny phone it will seem gigantic, but you will soon get used to it and appreciate the extra screen size.

Thanks…Just googled it and it seems to say that 4G is generally better now, due to wider coverage,
but possibly over the next few years 5G will take over..But 5G is more pricey....whats the price
difference?
My mobile router does both 4G and 5G....pity ts not got a camera on it because I could then
do 2FA at work...or is is the Android OS that allows 2FA?
Either way, it seems we don't exist if we don't own a smartphone.....I got another message from the boss
today on company gmail...saying he tried to contact me on Teams but was unable.I guess since all i wish to do is 2FA so i can get on Teams at work it doesnt matter 4G, 5G, A17, A16?
I am basically buying a smartphone in order to "proove that i am me".

I bought an A17 5G (so newer than the A16) at the end of May from a company on Amazon….
It was delivered on time…Brand new and has been working constantly ever since. Still a great price at the moment.
