I confess to not being totally clear over the distinction between items 2 and 3.

Your export register is one of the readings on your smart meter.

Your generation meter is the separate one you read for your FIT.

FIT used to be referred to as "deemed".

Your FIT might be based on deemed export but that's irrelevant for this calculation.

My "Import" is what I take out of the grid. My (solar) "generation" is what I put into the grid from my panels. > > mental block over how to interpret [total annual] "Export"]. Your generation is what comes out of your solar and into your home, then excess on to the grid, it does not go direct from your panels to the grid…

Export is what actually leaves your meter and goes to the grid… this is what is left of your generation after some has been used by your home.
