Sky Atlantic coming to Virgin Media, but?.....
I've read that Sky Atlantic is coming to VM from 1st April 2026.
However, I think unless you have a Virgin 360 box you wont be able to receive it.
I have a V6 box. I'm very happy with this, and I've heard and read some less than complimentary things people have said who have swopped over to the 360, so I think I'll be sticking with the V6 for now, despite all the pressures VM seem to be exerting on customers to change.

It does look like you are right, you also need to have Sky Entertainment package, have you been in touch with them to ask?
"From 1 April, Sky Atlantic will be available to all new and existing customers who already receive, or choose to add, Sky Entertainment channels with their package and have a Virgin TV Stream box or Virgin TV 360. All customers need to do to tune in to Sky Atlantic programming is visit channel 111 on the Virgin TV platform, with content also available on-demand and via Virgin TV Go."

It's only a software update on V6 box to 360. Did mine a couple of years ago.

It is but it seems to depend on how you use your VM box which is best, if you do a lot of recording then the V6 seems to be preferred, if you stream more, then the 360 may suit more. There's swings and roundabouts with both. if you have Sky Sports (perhaps others) you have to be running 360 software in order to access the + features for instance.

I've been dodging changing my Tivo boxes to 360 for a few years now. Tbh, the addition of Atlantic might be the push. I've read that there aren't a lot of upsides to upgrading and a few downsides. Things like series record don't carry on to new series, the recordings aren't on your box so can't be watched if the internet goes off at home, a few other things I can't quite remember. It does have more apps available though, which might mean I can finally ditch my PS4 for Apple TV.

The box still has a HD so recordings should still be available?

The availability of apps has never been an issue for me, because I have a 4K Amazon Firestick which I find great, and which I always prefer using when it comes to taking out subscriptions to streaming services like Prime, Netflix, Apple, Disney+, etc.

Just been looking at my contract, which I renewed in December 2025, two years in length.
Contract shows I'm I have V6 box, which I'm very loathe to give up. They can keep Sky Atlantic.
However, if it developed a fault and had to be replaced, could they force a dreaded 360 on me?
Thanks.

I may have misunderstood, but I'm sure I read that the recordings aren't stored locally, will have to take a look.
