I've just spoken to the 'loyalty department'. Had to call twice as the first person was utterly clueless about the price increase.
Second person told me to instigate the switch to my new provider and he would put a note on the account that no termination charges would apply. Have done so and had the automated email from Sky informing me of a termination charge. Hoping that's all it is.

Mine was the same and they told me the same thing. I might have to claim the charge back if I was charged after all but hopefully it will be ok. Nothing much you can do until the switch happens.
