Sky Q and price increase April 2026

I just want to check something before I call sky.
I have sky q and broadband, under this new price increase i can leave both penalty free.
is it instant cancellation? i.e you lose your access straight away or does it run until a certain date?
so in short do i need to have another provider lined up and installing and then leave sky?

Usual way is just to sign up a new provider and he sets take over date and informs old provider for you.

does this apply though when i need to tell sky why i'm leaving to avoid early termination charges?

You need to tell them you're leaving due to the price increases and cancel the TV with 30 days notice needed. Tell your new BB supplier that you're switching from Sky BB and they'll manage the switch and cancellation of the BB.
