Have confirmed it won't be paid on my behalf. There isn't an option to transfer the fine to myself as on the letter, this option has lapsed. I have been asked to appeal as a company representative as I am the driver of the car, is this something I can/should do?

That option has NOT lapsed. Transfer of liability can be done at any time.

However, yes appeal as a company representative WITHOUT saying who was driving and use the special Edna Basher appeal for companies to use.

Hello,

Just received from my company that this is now being assigned to me so i can deal with this directly. Will it be a case of calling DCBL cancel the charge or is there specific route to go down to appeal?

Nobody ever calls DCB Ltd! They aren't going to help you or cancel the charge.

Nor can you appeal unless the parking firm reissue the PCN to you, which should happen but it's rarely done. You should get a fresh PCN but don't hold your breath & certainly no phoning the likes of debt crawlers thinking they have a customer service ethic!

So I tried calling both secure parking & DCBL, both of who won't listen to any appeals other than to receive payment and stated they are happy to move forward with collections. Where do I stand with this now?

DCBL forwarded me all correspondence and shown a letter from the lease company on 23rd December stating to remove liability from themselves but didn't make our company aware of this and only sent us the final reminder on 11th Jan

I emailed the parking company last week using the edna basher appeal to have the PCN assigned to me. I've now found that the lease company emailed parking solutions on 23rd December to transfer liability to my company. Whats the likelihood i will get a new PCN? My company are now wanting to pay DCBL as they don't like the threat of a CCJ against them, if they do pay, what's the odds of winning an appeal and getting a refund?

Wishful thinking by clueless intermediaries

Only the private parking company know what they will or wont do

If those companies name YOU as hirer, they will have legally transferred liability to YOU , as long as no court claim has been issued

Therefore, they cannot be sued and cannot get a CCJ either, any court case against any of them would fail

Such a pity that none of them understand their legal position 14 years after the law was invoked. ( in 2012 )

There Is ZERO chance of a refund if any money is paid, paying them is foolish and naive

I agree on the payment, very foolish but that's out of my hands as they are worried over the potential CCJ. As of yet, liability still hasn't been put to me personally and the only correspondence i have is the lease company emailing parking solutions on the 23rd December stating they are not liable. I'll wait it out for a response from parking solutions.
