I don't think the switching offer requires you to open a Digital Saver. But if you open a new one as part of the offer you can get the bonus rate.

I see. This is a new requirement for NatWest/RBS switch offers. As this offer ends on 28th May, maybe close the digital saver in early June so that you're eligible for the next offer they do (probably mid-late June or some time during July), assuming it's the same type of offer?

Have you a digital saver with RBS as well or a current account with them?

You'd think they not just cut and paste the Natwest wording - i.e. Switch to the Royal Bank

Has anyone done the Natwest Premier version for £250?

MSE says you need to be a high earner (>100k), but I can't see anything on Natwest that confirms that. Only a requirement to deposit £5k for at least 24 hours. Interestingly, I can't see a requirement for any direct debits either.
