Morning all xx
Well done to flying flyladies.I'm tempted to ask if you'd like my house keys! I'm with Fayolle…too much going on and all my energy is being used up in not going round the twist. February! Eugh. Everything seems worse in February.
I have a hairdresser's appointment midmorning which has throw out my Saturdailies routine. No sweat. I'll either do them tomorrow or half and half.
I've made my bed. That's flying.

I too have been one who has not done much other than the S/S of the kitchen and bathroom each day. I don’t know how I used to parent and keep on top of the lists in the early days, I guess being younger helped. It must have been 15+ years as I remember sharing with you when I was wedding planning and that was 2009!
I did however strip the bed and had the WM on at 3am on Thursday morning when the dog was sick on my bed. It was just the watery stuff but enough to go through onto my newish quilt leaving bright yellow stains. I recalled a friend telling me about the raf days when they used to be walked out of the married quarters and the officers would go round with white gloves to check it was clean. She used to spray a stain with bleach then smother in talc which you then hoover off when dry. I tried it and it improved it immensely so tried again a second time and is barely noticeable and smells of babies now.
We are having the usual battles in the house re mealtimes, DD doesn’t know what she fancies until the day, so I can’t plan in advance unless I exclude her from the equation, DH does nothing in advance and rarely cooks. Yesterday he decided to treat us to fish and chips with his lottery winnings but we all pretty much had a stand-off with no one wanting to go round the corner to the chippy. DD relented just before 8 but by then I was past wanting to eat so she said I was trying to guilt trip her for not going earlier and a level 2 argument ensued as she said it was my problem and then raged for making her feel guilty. I give up.
So far this morning I have had churros for breakfast (been in the freezer ages so trying to finish up) had a cuppa and cleaned the bathroom while the bath was filling and where I am now.
This weekend I need to go see my Dad and sort his paint dilemma, meal plan and food shop, sand and paint the bedroom door and fly through the house. It will be a huge advantage in my bedroom if I can get the Christmas decs put back into the attic!
Love and hugs to you all, especially Narco, supporting your poorly friend xx

Morning all,
I finished Friday with a flourish, like Blackcat. Well, I brandished the duster on a stick thingy in the LR (sorry, Iona, I have forgotten the name you have. Aunt Dolly on a stick??), “discovered” so much fluff and dust around the newly liberated radiators (2 bookcases have left the room in anticipation of the next building works, they were blocking access - and heat) that I ended up giving the room a better than intended clean. Today’s flying has been limited to wm x1, a quick vacuum through of the kitchen and hall, and sowing tomato seeds. I really ought to clean the downstairs toilet but I think that will be pushed to another day. Due to lack of guag and general overthinking of life.

Morning all
Happy weekend - some sunshine here but the ground looks wet. I did, however WALK down to the PO to post birthday cards for my sister BEFORE breakfast because I couldn't remeber what time the last collection is on Saturdays but I'm sure it's early. Well - before 11(that's not really early, is it?) So I didn't have coffee in bed (which is a good thing because I keep getting indigestion from it).
Have arranged to take my recently-widowed friend out to lunch on Wednesday - I figured in the early days she would be busy with family and once they are out of the picture she'll be alone.
Have entered my Prima puzzles too and done another ebay listing

I'm disappointed with myself for disappearing half a week after joining you all again, but will aim do better once we're back from holiday next Saturday night (we're going on Tuesday). I've just skimmed the thread - hope everyone's weekend plans are working out and those feeling poorly get better soon. I worked a full week and finished off with babysitting for four hours yesterday. 2 vets appointments, a church meeting and 3x volunteering for community fridge food collections, so it's been a fairly busy week.
My main focus is getting organised for the holiday. I'm working Monday, then getting my hair cut and volunteering for the fridge. OH is happy to run errands, but otherwise impersonating a chocolate teapot.
This morning I was up early to catch up with my cousin in Germany, collected my bread, ground more coffee, made coffee, WMx1, sorted the litter tray and re-stacked the DW, had some food, cleared the drain in the back yard🤢 and got a bag of bits from the fridge collection last night ready for DDIL (she's just been for them), cleared the log burner and started tidying.
Must-dos this weekend: all holiday admin, church admin, find all essentials for holiday packing (and charge what needs charging), write the packing list, dog walk x2, plan food until we go away, do food shop for DS2 and leave a list for him.
I'll also try to tick off as much as possible from this list:
Remove and wash bed linen
30 minutes putting cl)othes away
Vacuum loft (bedroom) stairsClear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Hoover visible floor
Clear and wipe dining table.
Vacuum floors
Remove clutter from stairs
Dust and water plants
Air the roomClean baths/shower, toilets, don't forget under the rim! and sinks
Clean bath, toilet and sink7 -
Afternoon all. Can't remember what I did when, but I've more or less done everything I needed to this week. Not to Spring cleaning levels obviously! But adequately. Washing up to date too. Visits from all four granddaughters on Thursday, and then two of them with their parents today so we're pretty much wiped out now. Lovely though
I have read everything through the week and I'm sending good wishes to anyone who is still unwell or struggling with family life or sick friends. All the best x

@Valli - when I was widowed 12 years ago I was so pleased when friends arranged meet ups for coffee or lunch. I somehow felt that I didn't want to impose on people by initiating the meetings. Sunday afternoons were always the worst for me as they seem like family times that I didn't want to intrude on and so a trip to a garden centre or coffee in the high street really helped break up the day. Those friends really made a difference and even though my life has moved on so much, I'm still grateful to them.
I've done 10 minutes admin, 5 minutes shredding and 5 minutes filing. Every little helps eh?

Morning,
Didn’t sleep well last night, was falling asleep at my desk so went to bed early and then struggled to sleep. It was after 1am when I eventually went off and I was awake before 7.
Did most things I wanted to yesterday and had a surprise visit from DS and family. Success of the month - he helped carry the cabinet upstairs. The new room is finished apart from the door (sanding repainting and fixing, not all in one day) which is today’s challenge.
Prior to that though it’s feed Doogie, exercises, then breakfast.

Halloooo xx
It's a lovely day. Washing is pegged out for the first time this year. Windows are open upstairs to let some fresh air blow through.
Almost caught up with the Saturdailies- just the pots to WUDUPA. Watching 4 man bobsleigh run 4 at the Winter Olympics with coffee.
I was awake in the night feeling really dizzy, and I'm still a little fragile so every tick on the list is a bonus.
Hope you're all having a good day.
