Evening all!
Didn’t get back in yesterday as had a busy day and then I flew 🎉 and it was in the right room!
My bedroom is always the last as no one goes up there only me so don’t see the mess. I folded and put away all 4 loads of washing, emptied the washing baskets of dry clothes that had been there weeks and put away the pile of not really worn enough to wash yet clothes. I then proceeded to sort the rest of the tripe on the floor under the hanging rails and finished emptying the suitcase that had been there since early December 🥺. By the time I had done that it was time for bed (which I make religiously every morning 🤷♀️)
Today has been at the paid stuff and I need to sort dinner in a sec. DH got the burgers out of the freezer and will make the chips so nice and easy then I will clean the kitchen after. Oh and DW will need emptying as neither of the two who have been at home all day will have even considered it 😖
Continuing all the get well vibes to those in need.Mortgage, paid off!9 -
Morning all, Monday's bedroom list completed bar the bed change which I do on Fridays.
Hope you're feeling a bit better Ionafan
@Honey_Bear the fridge magnet idea is a good one - unfortunately my fridge (and appliances) are built in - my extensive collection of fridge magnets lived in a box once they lost their home - I feel I got rid of most of them.
As i type i'm in bed with a coffee…not used the teasmaid yet as I have no coffeemate, but I have put the pots through the DW and given it a test boil.
DW x 1, TD x1, WM x 2 ironed yesterday too. Took SD shopping yesterday, filled up the Vallimobile and we dropped into a coffee bar on the way back. Taught Trigger the cat how to use the now correctly-installed cat flap. He cottoned on sharpsh and was left in the garden while we were out. I assume all is ok, I haven't had a 'lost cat' phonecall.

Morning all,
Flying has been a bit scrappy this week but a few jobs are getting ticked off slowly. Monday involved a hospital appointment for a regular check up in the big city with DD and subsequently a late return home. Yesterday morning I went to big town to get my hair tamed, dropped into Mr S for bread and petrol, picking up some bulbs for an early March birthday present. When I got back I ran the wm x 1 and as, DH was hogging the laptop on my allotted admin day grrrrr, I changed the bedding, then sat with DD to sort out a problem while she had a minor meltdown. Bedding has just been washed, yesterday’s dry washing folded, airing cupboard sorted and bedroom dusted. As DH is AGAIN hogging the laptop (he promises to be off by lunchtime, hurrah), I have no choice but to clean the ensuite.
Iona, I hope you are feeling a bit better x7 -

the dining table and chairs are cleaned and polished and all the table mats and coasters are clean and fresh.
I cleaned the glass that's in some of our internal doors and cleaned the kitchen windows (inside). Felt mildly irritated when raindrops landed on the outside glass.
Decluttered and shredded 2 more work notebooks.
Hoovered the hall, dishwasher unloaded this morning and re-loaded tonight. Clean washing put away.

Thanks for the GWS wishes. I'm still feeling quite meh and have a hacking cough which kept me awake most of last night, but I managed to get up early this morning to take my car to the nice garage a couple of miles away, where they checked the rear brakes and cleaned out the drums which were full of muddy carp (not the actual fish!) and ran a diagnostic check on the battery because it wouldn't start first time. The brakes are now fine and the battery is still good - it had just got a bit drained by only doing short runs. So the total cost was not the £700 that somebody had warned me to expect as a minimum but only £171 🤩 The garage works on the principle that if a new part isn't necessary, they don't change it, which makes for happy customers. I'll try and take my car out for a longer run one day next week, to boost the battery.
As a result of the bad night I haven't managed to do much in the way of flying today - emptying the kitchen bins, and getting hm soup on the table for lunch and defrosting a pork casserole, served with lots of veg for our evening meal, were probably my only achievements. I shall not go to my u3a group in the morning but plan to mop the kitchen floor while DH is out at his surgery appointment.. It's bitterly cold here tonight, though no snow yet, so I shall be glad to stay in again tomorrow.

house tidied because friend came round so we could watch the Arsenal wfc game on a channel she doesn't have so I made our tea. Very disappinted in the football though as the picture was blurry due to rain on the camera.
DW locked and loaded. Dry washing brought in from line. Been to buy coffee mate so I can have my morning coffee in bed from the teasmaid.
