DW x 1. DD's bed stripped a day earlier but she isn't coming home tonight - so don't see the pooint in waiting. I have lifted the mattress all round and held it up with my head an pulled the valance sheet back into position.

Too embarrassed about having relatively little flying to report……don't know where the time has gone!
Up to date with most basic flying here and done the usual voluntary work and exercise.
Strong flylady vibes needed as we set off for Dorset then Somerset tomorrow to visit our very sick friend. We know that nothing can be done, but we hope and pray that we can be of some small comfort to M and A as M has said that she would like people to visit her. Can't begin to imagine what her life partner of 50 yrs, Mr N's friend A, is going through. We can only be there for him.

It will be a bittersweet time spent with your friends, Narc0 and Mr N, but I am sure they will appreciate your visit very much. Thinking of you all xxxx
I had a sudden burst of energy this morning - more than I've had for about 10 days - and managed to hoover the kitchen, DR, hall and LR floors. The Dy$0n did not appear to be working properly, so I changed the filter (and washed the dirty one, but it didn't look too bad). After that I mopped the kitchen floor, which was minging. But my energy burst disappeared as quickly as it arrived, and I have spent the rest of the day having more coughing fits, though they are not quite as bad as they were. I have had to cancel W's birthday outing tomorrow, particularly as it would have involved a certain amount of walking between the railway station and the art gallery and we are forecast heavy rain, and I didn't think that would help me to get rid of the chestiness - so another day at home is to be expected. Hopefully my concentration will be better than it has been so far this week, so that I can get on with typing up my FH research.
Oh, this evening I did also succeed in filing / shredding some paperwork, as appropriate, so it's easier not to lose things like pens under the piles on my desk!

Morning all,
Narc0, thoughts with you, Mr N and your friends x
Valli, guilty as charged. Quiet through lack of guag and therefore lack of flying. As ever, I started the week well by my standards and gradually declined into a state of severe slothdom. Too much going on - or in some cases not going on - that is occupying my mind and spiralling my thoughts. Mainly around DD, who takes off with her rucksack next week and won’t be seen in person for 2 months. Just imagine where my anxiety and what ifs can take that scenario! DH’s car still isn’t fixed after 2+ weeks, so that is becoming irritating and inconvenient. It has shown me that my previous thought that we could manage with one car is totally unrealistic.
Today my plan is to superficially tackle the LR, hall, stairs and landing. Not an onerous task, I have said it on here, so now I am accountable. We are pit this evening with friends, which will be nice to catch up7 -

Great knitting Valli.
thanks for all your thoughts. I'm pretty ready to go, after a quick lunch and change.
- emptied DW
- wudupa pans and other non-DW stuff
- made 2 flower arrangements, one for SIL who we're staying with en route and one for M.
- emptied compost bin
- downloaded books onto K1ndle
- packed (for 2 days of unspecified weather including a hot care home to visit Mum and possible watching canoe racing with DB in the mud).
- bit of a general tidy.

finished the week with a Friday flourish with the help of MrBC.
He brandished the long attachment on the dy son and removed cobwebs but didn't harm any spiders which is good. Then hoovered throughout.
I tackled the lounge and now have the most delightful clean and organised coffee table drawers. Dusted lounge and cleaned the hall, stairs and landing.
